We need a ruling from the Judge, and you can help. BRK picked up a nice polearm last night and is wondering if he should equip it or not. Shall we take a look at the evidence? Rusty! Get yer Manson-guarding tucchus in here.

If it pleases the court, we present State’s Evidence One, the Survivalist Pike.Just a really nice weapon for hunter, isn’t. Plenty of all three major hunter stats, and an attack power bonus, to boot. Ugly, boring, just not much more to look at than a toothpick.

If it pleases the court, we present State’s Evidence Two, the Terokk’s Quill.Before the Great Hunter Nerf of Ought-Six, this would’ve made hunters drool as if they ate Peter Pan peanut butter. Can you imagine the 1 agi = 2 RAP this would do?

Well, yeah, BRK; 108 RAP. Duh.

But we don’t live in that world anymore. Now, +54 agility is +54 RAP, no more. Still, +54 agility is incredible, the stamina is nice. But no intelligence, and no bonus attack power, like the Survivalist Pike. The actual dps is 38% greater, though, and a tiny bit slower. Raptor Strike crits would be fun… for melee hunters. But the crowning glory of this polearm is its looks. Great Elune, it’s beautiful, even without an enchant. Its blue.. and it’s so pretty…

If it pleases the court, we present State’s Evidence Three, a Stat-Delta Chart. It shows our stats after putting down the Pike and equipping the Quill.As you see, RAP is basically the same. With the Pike, we get 300 mana. With the Quill, we get +4% Dodge and almost +1% Crit. Both are useful in PvE and PvP, there is no clear winner, I think. Frankly I don’t want to take the Pike just because it looks great and is a blue…

But it looks great! And it’s a blue!

    i have been leaving comments on here for a wile but I’m all ways anonymous so just so you know who is leaving comments my hunters name is adrus….

    as for the polearms both are VERY nice the question is how bad do you need intellect??

    I’m bad about trying so hard to get agility and attack power that i forget about intellect

    Adrus, thank you for coming in and contributing. I have plenty o-mana; it’s never been a limiting factor since 6000. Running Shattered Halls, I don’t run out in the sewer or the gauntlet hall.

    Ray, you so totally nailed it. It’s about how you roll in Outland that really matters. Frankly my current gear is a mess; BRK totally hates my shoulders with a burning passion. The Quill has so much Bossness that it raises my Wickedness Factor by like 25. And it goes with the Red Epic Gryphon like Brittney and a trailer home; made for each other.

    OK, it’s time to see about mats lists for those enchants.
