It’s Desperation Time
So here we, another day, another day without heals in Legendary of Madoran. My best Feral Druid is respecing Resto in the hope that she and my one and only protection warrior will be on at the same time and, thus, we will be able to run an instance on our own.
Legendary has seventeen 70s and no priests, one Feral druid, and one protection warrior. You need DPS, we are the guild to call. You want balance, we’re most certainly not.
At one time we were golden with a holy and a two shadow priests, three protection warriors, and a feral and a resto druid. The sky was the limit and we blasted through the Hellfire Citadel, Coilfang Reservoir, and Auchindon instances like a Protection Pally’s Avenger Shield through a level 10 murlock.
(Or maybe that will just stun him… I really should look that up.)
But now, due to retirements, sabbaticals, and lack-of-interest on the part of our core players and officers, we’re floundering. Badly. We need new blood. I’ve been recruiting, have brought four new players to the guild, but no high-level healers or tanks.
Legendary has a small passel of high 50s and low 60s trying to muscle their way up, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be too little too late. Our friendship guilds are starting Kaz, while we can’t do a guild-only Shadow Labs, let alone Shattered Halls or any heroic instances. People are tired of waiting, especially when we see our friends doing all the cool stuff we want to do.
BRK includes himself in this statement. I want to play, not just sit in Shatt trying to recruit or run a PUG. I’m certain that once one core-person leaves, that will remove the lynch-pin that’s holding the rest of us back; the floodgates will open and we shall be broken up.
So what do I do; offer the guild a chance to merge with another or fight and try to keep our family together?

Fight it. i dont care if it me and three level 1 priests left. Legendary shall be my home, i will fight to keep it together i dont want to go anywhere else. i love the peeps and atmosphere. we will ge there it will jsut take a little longer than w eanticipated. uknow “life: it’s what gets in the way of the fun stuff”
glit.
we have been going through some of the same stuff in the guild I’m in some people shot to 70 and some are still trying to get there i got a late start on my hunter he was only 48 when the expansion came out and I’m slow at leveling….
one thing the GM did is on the forum he start a goal post were we can let people know what we need to do and the guild pitches in and helps each other out if it is a lv 62 that needs a run through RP or a lv 70 that needs a bunch of molts of fire… it seams to help since we don’t have enuf people to run any of the new big raids and none of the 70s want to do any of the old runs….

p.s. this word verification still hates me
I respecced Resto for my guild, because we’ve only got 2 ppl who actually like healing and are 70, so I figured I’d take some of the burden and help heal instances… I hate to say that I’m a horrible horrible druid and specced back to feral within a few days, but at least I can say I tried… I def. suffer with you though, we don’t have ENOUGH dps or tanks… sigh…
I know u against pugs, but if the situation is bad, u can try to invite unknown ppl also.. I mostly go out with pugs, becouse we don’t have enough ppl in my guild, and I can tell you.. It will be bad in the 80%, but it worth it for the rest 20%.. if u only ask 1-3 runs from a priest/dru/paly that won’t kill you.. and maybe u’ll find a friend in other guilds.. Am I wrong?
I say fight it, especially by helping the lower level in your guild to level quicker. Take them in Core instances, they will learn a lot, earn xps and gear and you’ll have a new generation ready to confront the new Instances.
In case you already do this you can just archive my comment

Stay together - although you can make friends anywhere, there ain’t nothing like the connection you will have with your current ones - a lot of history there.
Peace
Well Damh I for one say FIGHT IT too, as one of the “new recruits” you mentioned I will do my best to grind out the levels and get up there as fast as I can! Fight it bro, don’t merge. You have tons of respect from everyone in Legendary, and They all want to stay together - not merge with any other guild!

BRK, I completely understand this statement. Similar thing occurred with the guild I ran on Mal’Ganis. It slowly deteriorated and when I stepped down from GM (personal commitments kept me from putting in the time I wanted - Real Life Comes First) it started to crumble. Since then, myself and several of the core players have started to seek new guilds and new opportunities. We were a fairly large guild able to get through BWL and started into AQ40 due to starting late in the game and it slowly fell away. Every MMO goes through this stage when people move on and look to new games.
i know im lvling slow, but with 3 days off a week i can lvl faster with alittle help and i will be a healing fool.. So i say fight it (i hit 61 btw)
