Now That’s "Prowl"

Remember our discussion of the ghost cat and just how transparent he is when Prowling? We have confirmation, thanks to Fearstalker and Alphamask, that the cat is really, really transparent.

Before

After

Usefulness? Low to middlin’. Cool Factor? Wicked.

    That is pretty cool.

    Too bad prowl sucks.

Prowl is good for PVE and for PVP. Kitties get AP bonus to first hit out of prowl, so it’s doing more DPS and building more aggro.

NELF w/ Kitty on the prowl in PVP is sexy. L2DefendNodes.

If prowl didn’t cost any training points I might have a cat with it. As it is the extra AP isn’t worth those training points for me.
If you enjoy it, more power to ya.

Prowl is good for arena to ambush mages/priests/warlocks.

Unfortunatly, it appears that the extra transparency has no real use.

So, this poor cat will be replaced by a WS or carrion bird eventually.

when it starts moving, it will be morea apparent, along with the telltale sound that a clocked person makes when you venture too close to them. however, still a really cool feature for a pet, even if its not useful. Its like… “Pimp my Ride.” none of the stuff they do to the car is actually useful to the meaning of the car, yet it still stands out (or in this pet’s case: hides) moreso than normal, thus cool and different

alas, the ghost saber was lost today in the midst of an effort to train bite 6, claw 6, howl 3 and dash 2. A wolf and bear with those were trained, using the 4-th pet bug. However, I made the mistake of hearthing back to IF while the bear was dead. This left a bugged 4th pet in my stable, and the only way to clear it was abandon one of the other pets. Since the ghost saber was the lowest, it got the axe.

Tip: if you are using the 4th-pet bug, make sure the temp pet is rezzed before you hearth back or otherwise leave the field of combat. (I’ve used the 4th pet bug before, and it work fine if the pet is alive).

    sigh…

Ghost saber and black lion are the best cats.
