NOW LISTEN! Not everything that goes into the PTR makes it into the final patch; tailors can attest to that, right folks? However, if Dash stays programmed and we get to play with it for real, we’re calling a moratorium on the name “Dino”. Five BRK Cool Points will be deducted for violating that rule, OK? In fact, we’re gonna go a bit further in our obsessiveness:

Double Edit: Lindsay Lohan just got arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license, and possession of cocaine following a car chase in which she, driving a GMC Denali, was tearing @ss after a Cadillac Escalade. She didn’t kill anyone, so feel free to laugh.

In the spirit of this topic I’m looking for some help naming my new ashmane boar, who will backup Emmy (my cat that I’ve had since level 10) for times when I really need that extra chunk of meatshield.
Excellent, give some love to the raptor. Some really cool skins and no love for them on talents.
Before I knew anything on my dwarven hunter, Peperic, I used a raptor from WC until I could get the elite raptor in STV.
I named my raptor Wash, after the character in “Firefly” who plays with toy dinosaurs in the first episode. I think I ran across just one person who made that connection without me telling them… maybe my joke was more obscure than I meant it to be x_x
I called my cat Menchi because I figured if I ever get hungry, I could shoot, skin and then cook him, and after I was done I could rez. ^-^; Okay, that was when it started and I go ape $@%& when someone kills him now or tells me to sacrafice him.
I got the Blade-edge Ravager was thinking of calling him Rainbow since he keeps changing color on summon. What opposing, or same side, faction member would try to fight with something called Rainbow? xD Name suggestions are being taken.
pike: maybe if you were called Wash and you played with a ratpor… i loved, and still do, firefly, but i wouldn’t have connected it either.
Awesome, I’ve had a raptor since about 67, but have thought about trying to finish taking my cat to 70 just for the dash.

Since level 10, my hunter Irwin has had a pet Crocolisk! Now he has 3 Crocs, but only 2 are named: CRIKEY and Steve. And of course, he’s Beastmaster. Look up Irwin on Malygos if you want a laugh!
There are level 70 cats in Skettis, flying mount required of course. There are some 71’s too, so check before you aggro
I’d never tried a cat on my way up through the levels, so this was quite handy.
The Hobbes thing is a totally different discussion, it’s like, here’s a Top 10 list of Names Thou Shall Not Give Thy Cat:

Ok so wasn’t able to make comments all yesterday GRR work so here come my slew of replies to the last couple of threads mostly the scope one!
@Guy - I remember debating with you on here about some of the LW gear. Guess who got the SSC trash recip! Guess who has the sexyboots! Thats right Shifttusk US Mannoroth Horde! TO all you LW hunters keep with it its worth it. Beating nightbanes ass yesterday and then going to the raid leader, no please shard the breastplate of carnage mine rocks harder is awesome.
@Teut - Welcome to getting raid gear :). At 24% crit thats what I’m assuming you are in. You pulling agro means your dps is getting very nice :). My recomendation is to l2 throttle your huge pew a bit. I don’t DPS hard while farming anymore for this reason. Its just auto/Mend pet and arcanes once in a while. If I even think about steady weaving while farming its gogo kite mode.
@ The BRK! OMG did you read mail from me and Guy? Are you stacking crit? Once you clear the 22-23% area you notice a real nice increase in DPS as BM. My raid leader was taunting my new crit fetish saying uh oh you’re going back survival soon arent you. To which I calmly replied not yet but could the raid assist post meters. Theres me on top, Nightbane, Mulg and all of our fun gruul wiping each time myself on top with the other BMer a bit behind.
Naming has always been difficult for me, I like to be original but still keep meaning.
…So I obfuscated it. Found a non-draenei to group with me, swapped my language to draenei and starting sending him one-word whispers.
Humar the Pridelord ended up with the name Kirasath - it means Darkness. Not only is he a black lion, but i get to subtly reference the Ghost and the Darkness with it, so it’s a double bonus.
And, continuing the Firefly theme, if Jayne isn’t a girl’s name, neither is Kira, and if you disagree he’s got pleeeeennnnty of claws and fangs to help you get a change of heart.
I must object in the strongest terms. If Hobbes is acceptable then that invalidates your list. I must confess to having used 2 names on the list, Rex and Dino.
At least Dino went with the toon name. I much prefer the far more original Bobcat for my Frostsaber (non Purple version and pre BRK readership.
I love Raptors bunches! I think its about time they get some love. Also there is going to be a tameable lvl 70 Ravager ! Nethermine Ravagers =P

Although I wouldn’t name a cat Hobbes, I did take a cue from that comic and I name most of my pets after philosophers. Immanuel, a wolf, has been with me since the beginning. But I did moonlight with a raptor named Thesaurus somewhere in my late 20s.
P.S.
I don’t believe in having serious names when I play the character for fun and laughs.
I’ve got Cringer (King Bangalash), and Magilla (un’goro gorilla I still need to level up).
If I could rename my cat BattleCat while BW is active, I’d probably pay another $2 a month.
My Hunter is named Tereshkova, after the first woman in space (the Russian hockey player fetish wasn’t going to work for a female toon), and decided to name all her pets using the Russian terms. So, Cat became Koshka and Boar became Khrjak (j = y). Raptor doesn’t change, but Lizard becomes Jashcheritsa, so that’s something if I decide to nab one of them in Wetlands.

That’s why I say keep LW, that right there. The patterns aren’t BoP, but most of the items are. KEEP manufacturing professions and you will be rewarded!
No, you won’t have as much money as the farming spec BRK, yes it’s going to be hard as fuck leveling these professions up..
But they pay dividends.

Lindsay Lohan really needs some help. A regular psychiatrist couldn’t even help her. She needs to go to like Vienna or something. You know what I mean? She needs to get involved at the University level. Like where Freud studied and have all those people looking at her and checking up on her. That’s the kind of help she needs. Not the once a week for eighty bucks. No. She needs a team. A team of psychiatrists working round the clock thinking about her, having conferences, observing her, like the way they did with the Elephant Man. That’s what I’m talking about because that’s the only way she is going to get better.
With the Simpsons movie coming out … can I go get a boar, and name him Spiderpig?
