Dont worry about pulling agro off your pet as long as you know how to watch it in a 5 man/raid. Pulling off your pet makes you l2kite which lets you do fun things like kite uveros back to shat or buck up for fun stuff like hey we dont have an OT for illhoves little imp lover…

Well, unless you use a boar, I guess. The way charge works with growl, you might well be able to open up full throttle. I just hated their (lack of) swimming animation, way back when, so gave up on boars.

Also this macro executes your Kill Command whenever it’s off cooldown.

This macro will provide a nice increase in your DPS.

Shot rotations are not exclusive to raiding hunters… but raiding hunters darn well ought to know and use ‘em. Doing 5 mans with a decent tank will benefit a lot from a good rotation, as well.

However, soloing with your pet? Unless you wait a boring long time for your pet to build threat first, you’ll likely pull aggro if you do a high damage rotation.

@Karl - someone posted the basic a few posts back:

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot
/castrandom [target=pettarget,exists] Kill Command

But theres alot you can tweak on these. The macro above just does auto steady but lets say you want to include arcane shot:

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/castsequence reset=6 Arcane Shot, Auto Shot, Steady Shot, Auto Shot, Steady Shot, Auto Shot
/castrandom [target=pettarget,exists] Kill Command

This rotation would pop in arcanes once a cooldown and fire steadies the rest of the time.

Telsaddi - you can use macros in 5 man dungeons and I guess as you grind as well. The thing is grinding is booring enough I like to manually do everything expecialy as I grind so i don't fall asleep. I even farm sans pet and kite.

I have never tried a shot rotation macro. I was under the impression that this was the domain of hunters that raid. Could this have practical PVE uses as well? I too would appreciate a couple of macro examples so I could give it a try. After all, I just learned Steady Shot
