New BRK Section - Addons
We’ve added a BRK’s Addons section to the upper sidebar. In as many cases as possible we’ve linked to the WoWAce Downloads site because it seems to be update more frequently and be online much more often than Curse.
A word of caution: if you email us about problems you’re having with addons we’re probably not going to be able to help you. We’re not an addon-troubleshooting blog and our hunter-questions have us overwhelmed as it is.
This list isn’t The Best Hunter Addons Ever; we’re not recommending them over other addons. If you like FuBar, rock on. If you like XPerl or PitBull or Bagnon, beautiful.
Edit: We made a Java dropdown menu that lists the addons and brings them up in a new window. It takes up a lot less space than the full list. Should it be the primary access to the addons?

Fizzwidget’s hunters helper…it is the best when you want to upgrade your pets abilities. If you are not familiar with them http://www.wowinterface.com and http://wowui.incgamers.com are the other two major sites for mods.

thanks BRK. even if they aren’t “The Best Hunter Addons Evar”, it’s helpful to have a brief resource (among the dazzling array of add-ons) to at least play with.

I’m at work so i can’t clicky on anything but it looks like:
# SCT (Combat Text)
# SCT Options (Combat Text)
# SCTD (Combat Text)
# SCTD Options (Combat Text)
all go to the same page.
BRK on 30 Sep 2007 at 3:25 am #
They do. And on that page you’ll see the links to the actual files.
The big problem with WoWAce is that their files have version numbers in the names. If we directly linked to the files, our links would have to change every time the file version changed.

WoWace has an up to date version of Sorren’s timer if anyone else likes Kharthus’s timer its back to being called Sorren’s. Anyone found a working version of Fizzwidget track sense the patch? Also anyone know of a working version of Mozzworld full map?
Thanks for all the help you provide the Hunter community BRK without you I would probly be still trying to figure out why my pet cant keep aggro.

Best way to treat Ace addons is to make use of their Ace Addon Updater.
I can’t access theoir site from here… but there is a hyperlink to Wowace Updater un the left navigation bar. It will lead you to the project at sourceforge.
The latest version is kind of strange, though. I was only able to get it installed through MSIE. Firefox totally failed.
But once the program is working you can browse their files by category, filter by keywords and the best: Update and install all Ace addons with a mouseclick.
Ace addons make extensive use of their libraries. Once a patch breaks an addon chances are that the library that is actually causing the error is fixed within a short period of time (talking about minutes or hours rather than days).

BRK, I would think Autoprofit would be an addon you would use. Quick selling of junk items with one click makes those pit stops quick and easy.
Plus you can set it up to vendor certain other things besides grey items and well as what to never sell.

Autoprofit being added. Very nice, thank you grumpy.
Grumpy on 30 Sep 2007 at 11:47 pm #
No Problem BRK, also forgot to mention that Autoprofit works with Mobinfo and displays the prices there as well.

My guildies and I have recently been enjoying Aperture, a really simple viewport mod that tells your machine not to bother rendering the bottom __ # of pixels of your screen. It’s an easy way to get the “big black bottom bar o’ buttons” effect you see in so many videos, and as an added bonus, often ups your FPS considerably.

BRK, I think you have overlooked an addon
Venantes - http://uifiles.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=4692
It’s the “sphere” style addon - kindda like Necrosis for locks/Cryolysis for mages/Totemus for shammys.
It’s got all the tracking/traps/aspect/pet buttons all rolled into 4 buttons !!
No more spamming of actionbars.
And it’s got a nice feel. Rightclick to recast the last used track/aspect/trap.
Middleclick to cast the previous to that.
And lots of nice options.
I just recommend turning off the food/water buttons, since it’s got issues atm.
It rolls 35+ actionbar buttons into 1 sphere with 4-8 satellite orbs.
What more do you need?
I know you probably didn’t mention it since you’re not using it atm.
But try it out, it really grows on you

The big problem with WoWAce is that their files have version numbers in the names. If we directly linked to the files, our links would have to change every time the file version changed.
Well, you could just point people to http://files.wowace.com/ and let them find the addon themselves. At least it’s sorted alphabetically.
Anyone found a working version of Fizzwidget track sense the patch? Also anyone know of a working version of Mozzworld full map?
I updated Fizzwidget Track Menu directly from his site shortly after the patch and it has been working fine.
As for full map revealing, there are a number of map addons that do this, and the mozz one was just the one that didn’t do anything else. You should see what you think of Cartographer, Metamap, and… i dunno, some others i don’t know about, i guess.
Melnayo on 01 Oct 2007 at 3:26 pm #
I see you have linked to files.wowace.com (reading comprehension? what’s that?).
Don’t mind me. I’m just a silly little 46/15/0 hunter.

mobmap is a great addon for those still levelling a toon, or finishing up quests… I highly recommend!
