Where is BRK?

BRK has a new job. Same company, different responsibilities. Details are still up in the air so we’re in a holding pattern, (and we award ourselves BRK Cool Points for the double air travel-metaphors.)

Meetings, confusion, and a few punches thrown. Standard space-industry schenanagians. And then there’s the whole, “we want to go back to school for a PhD” thing we have to resolve before the end of October. We have two BS degrees and our college-burnout has, we think, finally lifted and we just might be ready to tackle graduate school. Is the family prepared for us to go back to school for a dual MS/PhD program? Can Mrs BRK deal with us in that capacity? Can we? Lots to think about, little time to act, and the potential for the elimination of WoW from our daily activities.

Can you imagine?

We have stuff to write about, we have lots of letters to try to answer, but time is a commodity that we may just not have enough of for a while.

    As a PhD you should think seriously about this. Mine is in science though, looks like you’re going toward a engineering degree. The typical time to graduation in science is 8 years. You can do it in less or more. Not sure about engineering again. But you should consider exactly the benefit you’ll get when its all said and done. I have a friend who’s a NASA guy and a PhD engineer, i can hook you up w/ him if you want more info.

    and you need to train a padawan now to take over the hunter blog if you don’t have the time anymore…

    maybe a few.. one for raiding, one for casuals.. one for basic training…

    We can deal with you getting smarter and stuff BRK, though dunno if Mrs.BRK wants more smarmy remarks for he the “Doctor”, I can see it now “Doctor BRK” has enetered the vent channel
    “Doctor BRK must go to the store”
    Pretty much insert “Doctor” on to anything not nailed down or protected by a UN cease fire agreement.

    If this means you’ll have more influence at NASA to push for a manned trip to mars, go for it. We need to figure out how our SUVs are causing global warming on Mars too. ;)

    Do what your heart tells you to do. Oh and whatever MrsBRK says, cuz if she ain’t happy…

    As to spreading your wisdom. I am sure there will be times when you need to write to relax.

    I am working on a post about how to equip a hunter as you move up in the 30s higher/lower. And of course I am sending my readers (woot I have more than one) to you for the talent and pet builds.

    As sad as it would be to lose your valuable hunter info. I am on the kick of going back to school as well and had the same realization.

    Not having BRK to read makes me…..Grumpy.

    Well atleast there are a few of use that are trying to help fellow Hunters out there in our own way. Never measure up to the BRK standard though.

    I know it says anonymous but I’ve been a long time reader. I know exactly what you are feeling because I have had to stop playing my hunter because of my higher education. But I still read you . . . well . . . because your an “interesting” read. (in a good way)

    Don’t rush into a decision, but best of luck in whatever you decide to do. Try not to adandon WOW completely though, it’s always good to have something fun that you can escape to from time to time. ;D
