“Dear BRK … I’ve been following the whole “pink pet” deal and thought I should post Maggie. She is only 40, but she WILL be 70 one day. I wanted to show her to you just in case you are no longer playing WoW when she hits 70. I think she is a AWESOME pet and I’m soooo happy I got her. When I tamed her she was 12 and I was 23 (long road leveling her up). Well I hope you enjoy her, I DO

Well could it possibly be because this certain pet is a rare spawn just south of Thunder Bluff in the area of Mulgore the Tauren starting area?
And she is a filthy dwarf….
Whenever we play portal roulette (i think) and i end up in Thunder Bluff i will have a scout for this pinky even at 70.

It can’t be the icy enchanted sword…Nobody likes that on a hunter.
It could be the locale. (Which I recognize, but am not familiar with). Or it could be the awesome red pig-tails. Pig-tails are freakin fun…
Matching outfit (pink shirt w/pink pet)! ithrows saw it first. Definately cool in my book, though I work my best to make sure my toon is as UNCoordinated as possible.

because BriarRose was the name the good fairies gave to Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and she wore pink (altho merryweather kept changing her dress to blue behind Flora’s ample backside).

Don’t think it has anything to do with it being a flamingo, with it being pink, or sending the pic to BRK.
Bite, Growl, Dash, and Cower. Not many people run with cower, but it can definitely be useful for not pulling agro from crappy tanks. At 40, you are very likely to find some crappy tanks. How many warriors spec prot at 40?
She has KTM installed and in addition she has a more up to date version of KTM than bith BRK and Shifttusk?

Others have mentioned everything from the weapon (though not very specific… which is should be brought up) to the addons…
I’d have to say she gets credit for rolling a female dwarf with the helicopter hair. Though sadly hunters don’t have many cast animations… sadly. (Male dwarves have the coolest cast animations! We demand to have our Dwarven Mages back!)
Unknown to those staring at the pic the person playing the female dwarf hunter with a pink flamingo is wearing the BRK Boxer Shorts and BRK “PvP Old School” Women’s T-Shirt ordered from cafe press!

Most recent version of KTM wins it for Shifttusk.
BRK runs Omen, so unless he downloads it every hour on the hour, his is out of date. Not sure about Shift, but Briarrose gets kudos for running the most current version of KTM AND she’s a level 41.
She can pull for BRK’s guild anytime.
Without checking petopia, I don’t think plainstriders can learn claw, so bite would be the special to learn..sorta.
I think that’s the town you go to after you finish around Ironforge, on your way to Wetlands. Dun Mulgore???
Dun Morogh is the Dwarf/Gnome starting zone; Mulgore is the Tauren starting zone. The city in question is Thelsamar, in Loch Modan.
And Shifttusk beat me to the latest KTM at 41 (though like BRK, I use Omen, which seems to be constantly obsolete — I only download it every patch or two, because it’s such a pain in the ass to keep redoing it). It’s extremely handy, though, to use Omen/KTM while levelling your Hunter or Lock so you’re aware of your aggro, and learn how to watch it before Level 70. Stunningly, I think I’ve learned more of the subtleties of aggro management playing my Hunter than I have playing my Warrior.
Briarrose picked a shirt to match her pet. That’s the +5 BRK cool points right there. I have to carry THREE shirts in my inventory, since my ravager changes colors nearly on every resummon…

Okay, just being nitpicky. My guess is this hunter is an alt of a main that’s already 70 and running instances and raids.

I love your site. Almost to the point of making it my default home page. How much more fun is it to read about wow (particularly) hunter exploits than boring old news, weather, stocks, whathaveyou. (even avoiding reading email!).

I like Omen better than KTM, and since Omen is on the WOWAceUpdater it’s easier to keep up. Although it does tend to get updated a lot.
well hate to bust your bubble J but this is my main lol i have a level 41 druid named Lolliy but that’s it….so i have no 70
wish i did thou…have 2 rl friends who play on this server but that’s it……

You know, I sometimes wish I can go back to the point where everything was new. Even discovering new zones and wondering if that was the end of the world. Don’t need to race through content - just enjoy it all and take it nice and easy. Oh how I wish I can go back to the blissful innocent days : )
It’s easy to keep Omen up to date, just use the WoWAce Updater and it takes care of all that troublesome updating of addons…at least the Ace ones…
Dang it, somehow I have GOT to get a picture of Chapstick (my pink flamingo) up here at some point - level 70. She’s provided countless moments of entertainment in emotes alone (even from opposing faction members).
I saw that flamingo while i was grinding my horde druid… I was like, “dang if only i was on my hunter…”
…how i wish i had kept one of my neat lowbie pets all the way to 70.
