“Dear BRK, I could write to you and tell you how great your blog is, how I’m a BMFTW! convert, or even how playing as a BM hunter (under your tutelage), has made me a better Paladin (Wolfgarr lvl 70, Anvilmar), better healer, and better team player, (it is now my personal mission to keep all pets alive in raids/instances.)

We’re all about giving BRK Cool Points to healers who give some love to hunter pets, so that rocks our sox. However, Mrs BRK just gives Wolf a B. Why not higher?

So sayeth Mrs BRK, so let it be done.

Edit: We initially forgot BEs and Draenei, so we added them. Then when we added them, we messed up the Vote button. Now it’s all fixed. If there has never been a 100% completely inaccurate poll before, we’d like to put in for that record. Sheesh.

    If my wife is caring about the “bling-bling” or “bam-bam”, then I know she’s not really feeling unwell. ;)

    Just poking around on the complied patch notes for 2.3, and I saw these:

    # Serpent Sting, Immolation Trap, and Explosive Trap gain additional damage based on Ranged Attack Power. Immolation and Explosive Trap will recieve an increase in damage equal to 10% of the Hunter’s Ranged Attack Power.
    # New 20 and 24 slot ammo pouches and quivers have been added.

    If I’m reading this correctly, does that mean Serpent Sting will be useful again?

    On the poll, it seems to be missing the actual ‘vote’ button. Btw, Orc [Blood Fury + Abacus of Violent Odds] followed by [Rapid Fire + Bladefist's Breadth] >> Troll Berserking. ^-^

    How about mentioning the Tauren Warstomp ability? Very nice AoE stun when things get hairy.

    Good point, freejack, and due to being all tattoo-y and full of holes in the face, I’m actually eligible to do just that for the first time in about 6 or 7 years this month.

    I’d still rather be able to bat my eyelashes to get a cookie, but if I must give up blood, so be it.

    No mention of weapon racials? I still wish I’d rolled an Orc hunter instead of BE. As nice as it is to mana tap and get the occasional mana boost from Arcane Torrent, it’s not powerful enough to make it better than Command and Blood Fury (or heck, even Trolls’ Bezerk and ranged weapon bonuses). I get the feeling mana tap/arcane torrent were nerfed from the get go (almost useless) and the +5 resistances (which translate to +2 for pets) is utterly worseless. Should be higher to be useful IMO.

    Hey BRK,

    A while back I commented that I (a healer) would happily heal pets.. but my Healing mod (GRID) didn’t show pets. I’m happy to say that the GRID with pet mod is in final beta (ie, very very usable) so anyone who uses GRID can update with no worries.

    I’m telling you.. because a lot of non-hunters (yes, we do exist) read your blog.. and a lot of healers who use GRID are unaware of the GRID+pets version that’s now available.

    I can’t believe you’d mention Berserking and not the +5 to bows we trolls get. Free hit and crit, what’s not to love? Berserking is just the icing on the cake.
