How to Get Thrown Out of an Apple Store

BRK » 08 October 2007 » In Hardware, Raids, WWS »

OK OK, no we didn’t get thrown out. Everybody was nice and helpful and, frankly, pretty “whatever, dude” about the whole experiment.

But it’s a great post-title; we couldn’t waste it.

We got WoW installed on a 21″ iMac with 2GB of RAM and the 256MB ATI video card. Unfortunately, our CDs have 1.5.1 and the client wanted to download 1.12 which was approximately 4,102,941 Terabytes. We never finished it, threw in the towel, got an Orange Mocha from Starbucks - 2/5 stars and the only thing on their menu we’ll drink nowadays - and went home to watched a lot of TLC home-flipping shows.

FYI, we use a Logitech MX400 corded laser mouse.

Gruul’s tonight. We’ll have a WWS report on our respec tomorrow.

The Shirt. We love tropical shirts and keep a large supply on hand from many manufacturers. We also love Tommy Bahama.

Oh BRK would you love Phoenix. In Phoenix there is a shopping center called the Biltmore, In the Biltmore is an Apple store and just down the way there is a Tommy Bahama store you could get all your thrills in one shopping trip.

Hmmm, why didn’t you download the latest client from blizz and burn it to a DVD. Thats what I did when I needed to install elsewhere. Fire and forget, no CD switching, and I think I needed to download 1 patch, 2.2.2.

you know, BRK, there’s nothing more glorious than Mac Pro dual 2.6GHz, couple gigs of ram, dual screen, all the pretty-up WoW. ;) I’m sure that Mrs BRK would share some of her Bling-funds for your WoW happiness!

Mrs.BRK sharing Bling funds… hmm teach my wife plz.

Sorry the experiment didn’t go down I was curious. And starbucks &^%$$^&*(@ whats the matter with you man! That is enough to ruin a perfect day.

Since the removed the Mocha Valencia from the menu I have been loath to set foot in one, was great ordeing something not on the menu, kinda like animal style at In N Out.

umm… why didn’t you copy your install onto a portable HD, along with the pref file, take it to the store, and hook it up?.. I transfered WoW to my new Mac that way.. worked fine…

BRK, I say you go the Mall at Millenia, where I frequently go, they have a Tommy Bahama, Apple Store. I’m sure you’ve been there.

What kind of car do you drive now?

    Orang mocha? That’s disgusting, bro.

I recently tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and really ilike it. If that’s not your thing, try my usual: a zebra mocha, aka tuxedo mocha.

I like my silk Tommys but I love my Nat Nasts. If you don’t own one, treat yourself.

I like my coffee like i like my women sweet and creamy white, and BRK you were right about the new Rasberry they use at Starbucks it sucks.

    Hey BRK….

If you were running an Alienware PC, you would never have to worry about cpu problems again…

And as far as we are concerned Alienware won’t mess up your juju… it is so different from the other corporate machines like Dell or HP…

BTW M&M store at Florida Mall FTW!!

Why not simply copy the whole WoW from your computer to an external disk and take that to the shop? At least in the PC world it works just fine!

And if you don’t have an external disk, try with an 8 MB flash disk…

    @ wlydkard

    pumpkin is good

Chocolate and Orange go well together, but meh if you already hate it so be it :)

Only coffee black is a turkish or espresso, adding sugar or creme to them is sacrilege.

    (spelling check ftw)
