Do We Remember? We Haz Screenshot
This is BRK at level 60, our second day in Hellfire Peninsula, 17 Jan 2007. Notice our old Stormpike Battlecharger and our Epic PvP gear? If you zoom in you can see our Dal’Rend swords with the green agility enchants.
This picture was shot approximately two seconds before the Fel Reaver smooshed us into the dust and our desire to have one as a hunter-pet was firmly established.

Bwahahahahahahahahah!
That sound still rings in my ears!
what ever happened to that “amateur wow photographer” segment you used to do?
That is a nice screen shot…why didn’t you move?
Not to mention, you pet visible at your side…
Shame on you, forgetting Hobbes.
It won’t happen you will not have fel reaver as a pet. Maybe they’ll make it a companion but never a pet. Besides, isn’t Hobbes all the pet you’ll ever need?
Who remembers the first time through the portal and seeing the battle there and thinking oh crap what do I do now?
Or how many were out in blasted lands when they were running the army through the portal and you could help push them back?
You’re forgetting the most important part of the pre portal event. THE FREAKING FLEX TABARD!
I have many tabards but honestly thats the best. Expecialy in pvp. Truely skill someone? Flex em!
@for the pie
First thing I did through the portal… ran straight into the fray with the pit boss! One shot death… at least I figured out where the first graveyard was!
My first night in BC (BC launch night at midnight), I killed no less than four shamans. All horde, of course, because that’s all there was at that level then.
It all started with this one guy who started low-rank earthshocking mobs just before my starfire landed, essentially making me use moonfire to pull, which is less than ideal. So I wander away slightly and start killing things, see him drop a fire nova totem. And oh, there’s the fel reaver coming along somewhat nearby.
Faerie fire + cat form + sprint. Ran the fel reaver right through the fire nova totem. You know what happens then, right? Right.
So, I started doing it to every group that was griefing that had a shaman. And with the “I-can’t-take-two-steps without-hitting-another-person” conditions that night, that was quite a few.
FYI, my grand total now is 17 shamans. 12 horde, 5 alliance. And all of them were being asshats.
HAHAHA, experience from BC launch: “OMG, we’re through the portal. Thank god we didn’t go home early to try and fight through a bunch of asshat gankers”(I have learned to date there are plenty of blames to go around, plenty of alliances and hordes that are just asshat for ganking lowbies).
“Hey look we can do these quests, oh look those guys are right outside. Errhhh, are you lagging? Errhhh, did your wow just froze? Errhhh, I just lost connectivity. Errhhh, hey looks like the server crashed…” 10 mins waiting time while offline.
“Hey, looks like the server is back up” 5 mins later “Errhhh, did the server crash again?”
3 hours after the just step through the portal and countless server restarts/crashes. “Arrrrggggghhhh, I’m call it a night, I think I will just wait till the end of the week to play”
Ahh I remember that day well. A couple of felrever smush spots. Leveling up to 62…. I took that day off and played from around 1am to around 11pm that night.
Oh and i still get steped on from time to time while im running my pally though there.
