This may not be as pretty as the YouTube version, but maybe it’ll get through to more people.

I think when you say “massive amounts of ranged dps” you need an accent or something. Possibly in the style of Schwarzenegger.

“Und now vee du MASSif AMounTs ov RANGEd deePPEEsss”

Both of them worked for me though I don’t have audio on but that’ll have to wait till I’m home

Genius. That’s so perfect for those annoying LoS pulls when I’m running around and not dps’ing the skull. Now all I have to do is set a trap in front of my pet and I’ll be good to go.

    Nice work Brk.

Websense here, and I could see it perfectly. Thanks! =)

Any chance all future videos can be done like this?

  11. BRK on October 11th, 2007 4:37 pm

D@MN IT KRUTANG! You totally gave away the next episode.

    /cry

Just curious if there is a min distance requirement for this trick to work. Otherwise I could easily pull a mob way far back so that it would have to run very far to get to my pet or me. This would give me more than ample time to wait for the cool down to be up.

OK everybody, and that includes Narian, quit asking the questions that we’re going to use in our next movies.

    /sigh

The answer is you just have to be in range of your pet to cast Misdirection, and your pet has to be in range of you so he doesn’t “disappear”.

    What does all this mean?

Do the words: “Kiting a Fel Reaver” mean anything to you?

A very nicely done tutorial. Short, to the point. Shows clearly and cleanly what needs to done.

I especially liked having a full download available. I could actually see the numbers that were on your screen. Please keep a high quality download option available.

    @BRK

Could you post the settings you’re using in-game for video capture? The full res one looks pretty good.

  16. Knotbeard on October 11th, 2007 6:01 pm

Is there any possibility of you giving us a “Coming Soon” list of videos you will be doing so we have some sort of expectations of what type of bloody genius you will be bestowing on we, the befuddled masses?

  17. BRK on October 11th, 2007 6:49 pm

If we put out a “coming soon” list, our email inbox - already testing the boundries of Gmail - would be slammed with, “SO WHEN IS XYZ MOVIE COMING OUT?!”

We will probably try something else tonight, we’re thinking Nagrand.

As for our Mac WoW Client video settings, we’ll post those as soon as we get a chance.

Has anybody seen a difference in video quality between the 30MB and the 9MB versions?

  18. Szaboa on October 11th, 2007 9:53 pm

The difference between the 30 and 9 MB versions is minimal.

Now if you could drop the frame rate to 15 ips, but boost the resolution so we can actually read the small stuff that’s on your screen,… that would be worth a couple more megs.

Dewd…I still learn from u daily!

    lol
Misdirect los pull with the pet! Brilliant!!!

I’m an engineer. I’m suppose to solve problems for a living. Why can’t I come up with this stuff!?

    erm, I’m not worthy?

Brilliant video, it even worked here at work where YouTube is a blocked site.

    Keep it up, Mr. BRK!
