Hi BRK,

I find your page excellent for hunters. I had in fact given up on my hunter (lvl 70 NE). But your blog gave him a new lease of Life.

Now , just for kicks, I have started lvling up an Orc hunter, as I hardly have time for end game instances right now.

The one decision which still makes me go all cross eyed is - what professions to take ? I know its suggested using gathering professions at low lvl, but I am looking at the high lvl professions. I was thinking Engineering, but I would like to get your opinion on it also.

Dronacharya
(DeathWing)

Ha! I grew up in Port Jeff!

Now if they can only take Lawrence Taylor out of retirement too!

After many, many months of trolling BRK, I finally have what I think is a BRK worthy comment.

Was doing the Boggok boss in burning soemthing or other last night (only 64) and my group wiped (except for me) with 2 mobs left before Boggok came at us. I trapped one then killed the other. Now here's the fun part.

If I killed the last mob, Boggok would come out which would reset the entire event, except with Boggok being part of it this time (its bugged) which would most likely cause many many wipes until the group broke up (which happened to me the previous 2 nights).

So not wanting to solo the boss or cause huge repair bills to my non-FD'n group members, I decided to chain-trap that last mob until the group returned. Little did I know it would take over 20 minutes:
1)Healer had to log to get dressed, rather disturbing to think he was some middle-aged dude playing WoW nekked.
2)1 member died to a respawn on his return trip.
3)Another member died to the same respawn trying to go back and help the first guy.
4)We invited another healer to the group who had to fly from Shatt to get to us.
5)Everyone finally arrived and we killed the chain-trapped mob, then Boggok.

Would it ever have crossed my mind to chain-trap that mob for 20 minutes without the amazing insight of BRK? Probably, but I'm sure you deserve some sort of credit for it! ;)

The only caveat to keeping a gold spammers post is that those who come after the post has been removed have no idea to what the other posts refer. Plus, since you already labeled us "helpful", we can point out that this is obviously a gold spammer to anyone who will listen.
I'd like to know how others "help" the other hunter(s) in their guilds who are, shall we say, less creative with their characters. How do you gently lead a hunter who has no concept of chain trapping into the light? Example and having others say, "Wow, some fancy work there by our dwarf hunter!" isn't working.
GL with the launch. I'm of the age that remembers when every launch was cause for school to stop and we'd gather around a TV set to watch.
And, when you come back to earth (clearly pun intended), I'd like to see the occasional "Oops" movie. How does BRK handle bungled pulls or more ads than planned or someone in the group dies way too early or, yes, even a wipe. The successful movies are good for teaching (Damn, LOS. D'oh. Why didn't I think of that?), but sometimes we learn better when we can see what went wrong and fashion ideas on how not to do that.

Vinnie did do ok while he was at Tampa (oh, let me get my ole Bucaneers brown paper bag out, gosh that was a long time ago). As we do get older and wiser so did Vinnie. Gratz to the Panthers.

Sorry about the smear last Saturday (UCF v. USF) all I can say is GO BULLS! BSC in Jan.

and yes Maggie does get a ton of Clefthoof Ribs she's worth every silver coin of it. Now where is that poopper scooper? Watch your step:).

Galor and MaggieMay

Ban goldspamers ftw BRK!

I was quite board last night, so I decided to (FINALLY!) implement several of your recommended Macros. Like another poster, I too like to pull with distracting then concussive, but I was unable to get a single macro to do both. So I ended up with two seperate macros:

/cast Distracting Shot
/stopcasting

/cast Concussive Shot
/stopcasting

Now, this is great to hit one, then hit the other when the global cooldown is done. However, during the course of the fight, I like to hit a recently de-frosted mob with a second Concussive Shot while he/she/it is on the way to my second trap. Since I was in battle, for some reason I continued auto shooting. So I modified these two macros in the following way:

/stopcasting
/cast Distracting Shot
/stopcasting

And the same for Concussive Shot. These seem to work great!!

- Thar and Catsby

Damn gold spammers: as if it was not enough to spam in-game! And they're so dumb they don't realize they would get far less reports if they didn't spam a dozen lines of text at once! I could let go a /s line every now or then, but when they spam and make the whole text disappear, especially if I was just advertising something in trade channel only to see it gone, then I instantly report those b@stards...

Of course, the real issue is that Blizzard Management doesn't feel like killing a couple million farming accounts: after all, they do pay their fees monthly, so why should they? They only go on a cancel spree every now and then killing a couple hundred accounts just to pretend they're doing something...

This is a hunter blog. The readers could sell gold to the gold sellers...

Yet there are just two people almost in a row linking the same goldseller website. Still better than doubtful job-offers or links to naked flesh some bots drop off at guild forums.

I just hope they won't abuse the time you will be absent and unable to keep this house clean :)
