If We Didn’t Laugh, We’d Cry

Sometimes things just don’t work out right. Case in point, our Big Bad Wolf movie. We actually got him down on this attempt but quit recording after… well, you’ll see.

8MB full-size 960×600 movie is available here. Why you’d want it, we’re not really sure.

Yeah you hear the chime/ding/gong w/e when the FD is resisted and you start thinking quickly OK NOW WHAT???

  2. pelides on October 20th, 2007 4:09 pm

I really shouldn’t watch things like that when I have a mouth full of coffee!

Everytime my guild has done this event and the hunter is Lil Red they never FD because Wolfie resists the FD.

On my mage before I specced fire I would IB and 9 times out of 10 he would resist the IB and stand there hitting the cube.

  4. Zball on October 20th, 2007 4:25 pm

Your tone of voice after he resisted your FD was priceless. I can’t tell you how many times I’m going to watch this. Bravo to you for putting this up here!

(And I’m not just saying that because it’s hilarious, even though it is.)

    lmao. That was awesome!

Can’t wait til a good attempt though. MD’ing to the tank in the corner and moving ranged to the opposite side is probably a really good idea!

It is refreshing to see that BRK is not always flawless. I have never been to these instances so it is very interesting to hear the solutions to the problems they present.

  7. teknosaurus on October 20th, 2007 4:48 pm

    rofl, that was awesome.

Although I did get my first epic,

And after Kara, i went and slapped a nice 12 Agi on there. =D

It’s more fun just to run around. It’ll give you a thrill and make your heart race. Feign death is an easy way out but what’s the fun in that?

  11. Brian on October 20th, 2007 5:44 pm

you know speccing 3/3 in hubris and humility might avoid these situations…. :P

  12. Mudge on October 20th, 2007 5:51 pm

Yeah … my raid leaders always ask me not to FD because of just that. And why should not Hunters get the enjoyment of running around (and don’t cut corners) like everybody else? Recently our tank has been hit by RRH almost instantly … the raid can still succeed but its a lot more interesting.

    @BRK
rofl … been there done that ….

i suggest a FD macro starting with /stopcast, u won’t miss precious fractions of a second waiting for w/e to finish. THEN RUNNNNNNN! lol

i could have swore u made this suggestion in the past.

  14. 2ndworst on October 20th, 2007 6:13 pm

    @BRK
i watched it again …u didn’t have anything going …it was just a bad luck resist ….

  15. Euripedes on October 20th, 2007 10:17 pm

Thank you, BRK, for one of the best mornings I’ve ever had.
Thank the powers that be I wasn’t drinking anything.

“Hunnerd thousand Druids and no combat rez.”

    Ha! Classic raiding moment.

  17. Anonymous on October 21st, 2007 3:33 am

Was a bad day and I came here. Thanks for the cheer.

And as our druid always says, “You’ll get it when I get to you.” I know there can be other more important things like keeping the tank alive.

Then I start making comments about the feel of the floor and reminding the group not to step on my body until someone says, “Rez her already so she shuts up!”

  18. Traz on October 21st, 2007 8:18 am

Some of my guild were shouting “just feign death” when I was Red Riding Hood once – you have now made me very glad that I didn’t.

Plus, like onionpeels said, it really does get the blood pumping running around with a Big Bad Wolf chasing you!

    Nice vid ;)

  19. d.accord on October 21st, 2007 9:07 pm

    AHAHA.

    “Oh crap.”

    Classics really are the best.

My raid generally doesn’t bother with FDs either for the same reason. We get a kick out of laughing and screaming “RUN! RUN LIKE THE LITTLE GIRL YOU ARE!” and “EEEEEEEEeee!” at each other on vent.

  20. Duco on October 22nd, 2007 1:50 pm

Hehe, I know what you mean by getting resisted fd. Last time on Illhoof, I got resisted FD 4 times in a row!

  21. Patrick on October 22nd, 2007 2:14 pm

“need more feign death and a combat res”

    LMAO, that was classic.

  22. Thomas on October 22nd, 2007 3:01 pm

I have watched that video like 100 times, and I still laugh. That is just so perfect. Nobody does anything wrong, it just happens. LMAO! Saying with such confidence “Hunters hace a feign Death…we just want to hope FD isn’t resisted…” and the “Oh crap” are priceless.

The first time I saw this I laughed so hard I cried. It’s just funnier because it seems to happen (FD being resisted by Big Bad Worf) all too often, and I thought it was just my bad luck.

  23. Hrrathul on October 22nd, 2007 3:53 pm

    LOL
