Holy cow did we clean up in Gruul’s tonight. We’ll try to let the pictures speak for themselves ’cause we’re outta our mind with excitement.

Here’s our first excuse to use a Primal Nether on ourselves: our own Nethercobra Kit for our new Tier 4 leggings! Then, to the Auction House and some pretty Agility gems for the new Tier 4 shoulders! And wny not replace a piece of Tier 4 with some fabuloso new gloves! Moar agility gems and a big Thank You to Doomilias for the spiffy agility enchant. What is the result? Here’s the Old BRK:Followed by the New BRK:/happy little dwarven dance of joy!

    Wow, very nice. :)

how much dkp did you have saved up my GOD!!

  3. Felandra on November 27th, 2007 5:39 am

    Damn…

    2.12% crit
    15 hit
    15 AP
    10 Sta
    7 agi
    23 Int
and a rather substantial amount of armor.

I’m impressed. That was one hell of an upgrade. To most people it is like putting on an entirely new piece of armor.

However, I wonder… What about those BoJ pants? Are they shelved now?

  4. Wolf on November 27th, 2007 7:30 am

Might be an upgrade but you looked a lot cooler before wih the matching set!

  5. Someone on November 27th, 2007 9:17 am

    Grats:)

How much did you spend, between mats you didn’t sell and gems and chants you bought?

At first, I looked at DPS and Crit and was like: “what? only 1.6 DPS more?”.

Then I differenced the other stats:
     23    Intellect
    288    Armor
     10    Stamina
      7    Agility
      0.28 % more dodge
     15    AP
      1.12 % more crit
      1.6  DPS

    Well done, and congrats. =)

Woah, one drop off Maulgar and two drops off Gruul. Had so many DKP? The other didn’t mind? Well, gratz.

So what will you be doing with all those BoJs now? ;-)

  8. Lamaa on November 27th, 2007 11:27 am

I know you hired a man to drive a van into the telephone pole in my neighborhood so I wouldn’t be able to bid and I’ll never forgive you.

    /wave lamaa!

We spent about 450 gold on enchanting mats, gems, and primals. The primal airs were 25g each, we needed six, the +8 agi gems were 50g each, and we bought two cobra scales instead of farming them ’cause we wanted our leggings armor kit NOW.

The BoJ pants are indeed shelved. It’s now going to be the new belt, the old epic trinket, or the new epic trinket. We are debating.

And it wasn’t so much a case of how much DKP we had, although we had a goodly amount. The shoulders we got because we are the last raiding hunter/mage/warlock to get them, the gloves we got because two of the other hunters passed on them and the third – lamaa – was DC’d after Maulgar.

The leggings we got because we dumped every last piece of DKP we had left on them and outbid everybody.

  10. Rotseh on November 27th, 2007 12:26 pm

I’ve been thinking about the new BoJ belt myself. But then you would have to break up your Ebon Netherscale set losing the +20 hit. Iffy unless you got some new chest and wrist pieces as well.

The old Bloodlust Brooch trinket is neat. I usually equip it in raids together with the Hourglass. The Skyguard cross just doesn’t cut it in boss fights. I do, however, equip it outside, especially when farming or questing. Together with the Hourglass I nice +crit boost.

As for the new BoJ trinkets: I don’t know. Half-hearted and with 75 BoJs rather heftily overpriced. Time will tell.

I got Maulgar’s Warhelm a few days ago, and although it has some nice +crit, the Steelspine Faceguard seems more balanced. I’ll probably wear the latter in raids, the former outside.

As for the shoulders: I passed rolling on the T4 shoulders on Sunday, because I got Pauldrons of Primal Fury only a few days prior. Beside the freakish look (two huge bear heads with glowing eyes) I wonder which is better.

  12. Rotseh on November 27th, 2007 12:54 pm

And BRK, you did lose quite some MP5, 13 in total. Time for that sporefish treat. ;)

  13. Fiordhraoi on November 27th, 2007 1:38 pm

BRK got lucky, there were no other hunters around who wanted to drop a load of DKP – they all had near upgrades from other stuff. :) So he got it on the cheap, relatively.

Second, next time you need agility gems, BRK, let me know. I can cut them on my baby (well, used to be baby, now more a toddler at 62) hunter. Lot cheaper to buy the base gem, and get it cut. :)

Pauldrons of Primal Fury (with 2 +8 AGI gems) over Demon Stalker Shoulderguards (with 2 +8 AGI gems)
    +7 sta
    +20 hit rating
    -23 int
    +42 AP
    -0.16% crit

    Primal Fury > T4 Shoulders

Gauntlets of Sniping over Gauntlets of the Dragonslayer:

    -10 int
    +19 hit rating
    +6 AP
    -0.1% crit

I’m taking hit over the int and meagre crit unless I’m hit capped (which BM hunters find hard to do).

The pants are surely better than the Shifting Camouflage Leggings, if only for the hit rating.

And the new heroic trinkets are more of a PvP trinket. Get Bloodlust Brooch and Hourglass (bench Skyguard trinket except for solo/farming), until DST drops (I bet you’ll be regretting having spent all your DKP once this babe of a trinket drops next time lol).

I still envy you your popsicle axe. I’m hoping we can get the bear boss down in 20 minutes soon. I hear there’s a nice axe that you get as a bonus for that.

Today I get my eyeball helm that I’ve been saving arena points to get. Stats? Who cares? There’s a big eyeball on it that moves and blinks!!

  16. Megan on November 27th, 2007 3:38 pm

You know, with before and after pics, isn’t the size of the “gun” supposed to change?

Oh wait, what upgrade are we talking about again..

  17. Ripcat on November 27th, 2007 3:43 pm

Grats BRK, that’s quite the haul for a one hour or so raid! Building up raid Karma is certainly the way to go. Wish me luck tonight when I try to get my T4 legs to match my shiny new T4 helm.

  18. pelides on November 27th, 2007 4:55 pm

Grats BRK! That’s quite a haul for one night! You definitely had it coming!

  19. Kinzlayer on November 27th, 2007 6:37 pm

    Firstly, gratz BRK.

    @megan
Isn’t it the size of the Kitty Kat that really matters when you are talking about BM hunter, not the size of the gun? hehehe.

  20. Thomas on November 27th, 2007 8:03 pm

    Gratz BRK! Very nice loot.

  21. graypanther on November 27th, 2007 8:24 pm

Gratz BRK!!! I had something very similar happen when my guild was running grull. I got the shoulders and the pants on the same night :)

    Gratz aging

  22. Heather on November 27th, 2007 11:57 pm

Just need the Dragonspine Trophy now. *purrs* God I love that thing. Makes me fidget’y wanting to respec to a BM total haste build.

  23. Renewip on November 30th, 2007 4:51 pm

    Gratz !!

    quick question

For a BM Hunter why did you go

+50 Attack Power +12 Critical Rating

    and not

    +40 Stamina +12 Agility

    Thx
