No Updates Today
We’re totally busy! OMG, it’s crazy. Tizzy, thy name is BRK. No blog posts, no emails answered, nothing except keeping our desk clean and our brain focused on doing our work.
We’ve been writing the draft of our book proposal for a two weeks now and it’s due tomorrow. We’ve just sent the rough draft to the editor and are waiting for her to reply with a thumbs-up, a list of questions, or hysterical laughter and reject letter.
What kind of book? Honestly, we don’t even know if we can talk about it yet. Perhaps we should ask if we can divulge the title…
Or perhaps we should just keep it to ourselves so the pain and anguish of rejection will be minimalized.

If you are rejected by one person, don’t give up. Publishing can be a cruel, cut throat business.
(My husband works in publishing.)

Don’t sweat rejection from a publisher … Dr. Seuss got rejected by 27 of them before he found one to publish his first book. John Grisham’s first novel was rejected multiple times before Wynwood Press gave it a modest 5,000-copy printing. It think he sold a few more since then . . .

Book? I have piles. Who reads when you are practicing your pulls, MD’s, chain trapping and just plain hunter awesomeness, as you should be so you are the single most important person to your guild?
What’s that you say? BRK is writing it? Oh, okay. I can add it to the stack, right under the Terry Pratchett.

This sucks I have addwear or spywear or something on my computer and can’t get rid of it.I have tried everything and nothing works…
Looks like I’m going to have to reformat my hard drive to get rid of it…

I’d love to hear about your planned book. If its got even the slightest bit of wit and personality you put into BRK, it’d totally be worth it.
/pft at potential rejection!

Totally off topic comment but whatever. My wife refuses to play WoW. She is a middle school teacher and she was on a field trip with the kids. She sent me a text while she was on the bus. Here’s the exchange.
Wife: I’m sitting infront of a 12 year old girl who is talking non-stop about WoW
Wife: Maybe you play with her, she’s a level 7 blood elf.
Me: Does she have an older sister?
Wife: Yea she’s fourteen….
Me: Well does her Mom play WoW?
Wife: No it’s only 4 kids
Wife: and dorks

Whatever you write, you know that having this so successful blog is gonna sell as many books as there are regulars reading the blog, in addition to whatever other sales you would have gotten without it. You write funny stuff, even if your tiny details are not always perfect.

I know! It’s BRK Amalgamated Presents: The BRK Big Book of Silly Air Force Stories!
I get the feeling that my “Destromath Down/Queue Reading List” just got a little longer.

Don’t worry. I know about it. I’ll make sure he feels as much pain and anguish as is appropriate, determined by me.
