Now that’s a wicked-cool helm. The Demon Stalker Greathelm is finally ours. We slapped on a Relentless Earthstorm Diamond, a Glinting Noble Topaz, and the Glyph of Ferocity. We’re pleased as punch!
Ah, 360DPS on tooltip, you are finally ours. /sigh with satisfaction
And did you know that there is a new cat-pet? It’s a variation of the Wintersaber Pridewatchers known as The Hovercat! Here’s a picture of ours in action:
Now that’s a pathing problem. Sheesh.

I have literally been waiting for that helm to drop for 16 weeks now and NOTHING I cant believe how bad my luck is

Well at least its not a boar, you get aenough arachnid/porcine references after a certain animated movie came out without WoW trying to get in on it

Grats BRK, on the pat pathing issue everytime it occured i petitioned a GM so on the alar fight in TK i must have petitioned 40 times
anyway finally a GM answered with a result saying that they now know it IS and issue with the 2.3 patch and the running of pets behind their target.
So good news they know it is an issue however when i asked on an eta for fix..
“We currently have no eta on a fix for this issue, the devs are not currently working on a fix either so it could be quite some time”
So good news they know its a problem. Bad news we may not see a fix till wotlk or beyond

Try pet pathing wipes the raid news at 11.
I just have to keep beefy next to me on passive and not use him at all on any of the stairs/paths that go up or down. Otherwise i get the “WHERE DID THAT PAT COME FROM” directed right at me.

when our little guild merged with another guild and started doing kara, it took about 2 weeks for me to get even 1 piece of kara gear, when I finally did… it was the helm off prince, on the first time our guild had ever killed him.. glad you finally got it!!
does that hovercat come with dive or screech?..

Yeah, we managed to pull the entire first room towards Spite/Chess…by pulling the ghosts outside Shade’s room. WTF mate?
Grats on the new hat. I’ve had mine for a while, and I swear, I look like the unholy spawn of Bib Fortuna, Darth Vader, and a Combine soldier. (Needless to say, I’m a Warrior.)
You’d think at least the windserpent would be able to hover not the kitty. I want my kitty to hover and bring death from above!

I’m a very new hunter. I take it all the pathing issues are a recent pet-behind-the-target development? That’s good to know. I was wondering how everyone had survived when my cat can’t even walk through doorways to attack.
Congratulations on the spiffy helm! Every time I see Hobbes, I’m reminded I planned to tame myself one of those tigers, but I can’t give up my devoted ghost saber, and having 2 cats is kinda silly I suppose.
Hobbes definitely stands head and shoulders above the rest, now doesn’t he?
As a tank with a hunter alt that has seen her own cat go leeroy-kitty in Kara, when tanking now I always try to make sure I get mobs away from walls/corners and ramp interfaces to minimise the pathing issues.
I’ve had pathing problems with kara every night since the patch… we pull the trash on the way to moroes/maiden, Bentley tries to take the path up the back stairs by attumen or some crazy path… I try and try but he won’t just go straight up the stairs…
same with the ramps between aran and chess, it seems the worse on ramps/stairs
Sadly, the uber T4 helm…is wasted on me. *pets engineering goggles*
Reading your posts though, reminds me I never look at my DPS tooltips. I’s a bad hunter.
As for your hoverkitty. *boggles* “Working as intended.” Wait I know! Our attack button has been secretly switched with eyes of the beast! When we look away for a moment our pets think thats the way we want them to run!
I miss DPS’ing on the stairs to curator…:(
It’s actually not a new problem. I have a picture of the amazing lemon-yellow HoverScorpid(tm) stuck in a windchime in Ironforge on my computer. That was way back before 2.3 went and made us all cry at ramps, stairs, small lumps in the ground, the bones in EPL…
Oh, wait, here we go. The amazing Hoverscorpid!!
