She’s So Congested, She’s Snoring While She’s Awake

sickgirl.jpgMrs BRK is sick, so we’re playing nursemaid. And when she conks out, we get back to WoW-working.

Yes, working. We’re doing our BRK Lowbie-Hunter Guide movie. The clips are all recorded, we’re importing them into iMovie as we speak, and hopefully by tonight we’ll have it ready for prime-time.

Tell ya something, though. We leveled that Paladin to twenty and wanted to chuck our computer into our pool. Then we took a Priest to twenty-two and are much happier with that class than the plate-cr@pola.

But just goofing off with our level-10 hunter brings us so much joy, so much happiness, it’s ridiculous. We took him to twelve just so we could get Mend Pet and really wipe out stuff.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves.

No more posts or nuttin today as we go into Hitchcock-mode and assemble our latest flick.

    Get better Mrs. BRK

About the lowbie hunter. I loved playing my hunter from lvl 10 on. the hand to hand fighting sucks prior to lvl 10 when you get a pet. I was lvl 33 and taking on lvl 36 elites and lvl 40 mobs. good times.

Aww. Get better soon, Mrs. BRK!

BRK, I just wanted to say, as a semi-frequent reader, thanks for a great blog! Almost always entertaining to wake up, walk to my blog, and click yours for a read before posting on my own. Please keep up the good work!

It’s kinda funny. i just started a new hunter this weekend as well just for kicks. Lilt, and her piggy Pilt are now level 12 and having fun on The Venture Co.
Once you’ve got a high level hunter and know all the tricks, it’s so much fun running through the lower levels again. The first 10 levels were spent trying to perfect the jump shot. Now that I’ve got my steamroller Boar, I doubt I’ll ever really need to use it.
Anyway, can’t wait to see the movie!

    Dear Mrs. BRK,
Thank you VERY much for your tolerance of Mr. BRK spending as much time on this site as he obviously does. Get better soon!

apparently in addition to snoring while awake, she’s reading your blog. God knows why she does, unless it’s to make sure you pay for all your transgressions. ;)

And I doubt she’s snoring, ladies don’t snore, they uh…

Oh who am I kidding, like I know what ladies do…

    Get well soon, Mrs. BRK!

And BRK – Pallies rule, but if they ain’t your cup of tea, I guess they ain’t. Everyone tells me how much fun Warlocks are, but I can’t stand being that squishy. Hunters are, of course, known by all to be fun (end shameless pandering).

I’m shocked that you don’t like playing a pally. My main is a 70 hunter (my guild currently has kara on farm and we’re starting Gruul’s soon, so I’m loving reading your progression since we’re right behind ya…although, admittedly, moving at a bit of a slower pace) and I’m currently at level 35 on my pally alt and am loving every second of it. Taking on 6 mobs at once as a prot pally and ending up with full health is a ton of fun!

Mrs. BRK, please do get better soon… wish I could send you some of my chicken soup… make life a little better.

    As for the movie…

The big question is not if BKR can fit back in leather or even if he decided to grow horns… the really big question is who he chose as best supporting actor.

As a kitty guy, did he tame the basic cat or go exotic? Maybe he decided to go for a high-powered (at low-level) pet boar or… maybe… he decided to throw everything out the window and just plain go for COOL.

Did you roll this up on the horde side? Cuz if you didn’t..shame.

Oh and if you rolled an NE hunter, double shame.

    I love playing lowbie hunters.

Oh who am I kidding, I love playing hunters in general.

Mrs. BRK, get better soon, I’ve been sick myself and I’ve had this lingering cough for a week now and ugh. :( /commiserate

BRK… Time for you to cuddle and nurse Mrs. BRK back to health! Go, hurry! Lest we might lose this place of contemplation and free thinking… Do it not for yourself, do it for all Hunterkind.

Like the movie ‘Children of Hunters’, or ‘Hunter is Legend’.

its been wayyy too long sinnce ive lvled my hunter, or had to for that matter. but my urge to start anew is pretty small :) .

also, prot pally alt is the way to go! my brother is slowly getting more into the game, and ive mostly been playin my 66 pally alt… not so much for him. theres nothing rewarding about any single mob fight (except free health and mana). but its when people freak out when they realize youre fighting 6 alone and not running away that it really shines. soloing elites? as easy as with a hunter, at least. a lot slower… but just as easy, if not easier!

for example: dirty larry in shatt adds = 7 mins.
that quest with waves of birds followed by a big bird (also in shatt) noooo problem, i dont die on non-elites, especially only when theres 10 or so of em in waves :D .

its not so much shoot and kill as it is round stuff up and not die.

also, i have 8.5k health unbuffed, and when in SP the other day i had over 11k. roar!

For shame. Pallys are a rocking class to play. I made one as a bank character a while back…..i ended up power leveling him to 70 over the course of 4 weeks. Went ret the whole way and with some nice financial help from my 70 rouge he was almost always decked out with a blue or purple weapon. The armor doesnt have to be the best but it helps a bit of course. I leveled him so fast, with out REALLY trying, that he almost always had at least 2 pieces 10 or so levels lower then base. Screw the no ranged, just learn to body pull. Hell you become real attuned to your aggro radius as a pally. If you have some decent gear and know what and how many you can take on, its cake to level. 2.3 made it even easier. I have been working on a warrior since 2.3 and hes already 40. If your prot or healing try runnin dungeons as much as possible before questing. If ret you should be having no prolems. There are plenty of goodies to be had in a paly no matter what spec.
