This movie clearly shows that it’s possible to get KHT to show the time of Trap Effect as well! So.. What am I missing.. I’ve gone over and over the settings menu and come up dry :S

P.S BRK is a lot of fun and I find a ton of info just browsing around, and the real kicker is the artwork on top, it’s profoundly hilarious!

You don’t. I work with a pally tank that’s like glue, and we’ve given up trying to CC around her. When she pulls mad aggro, the healers know they need to keep her up, but nothing is breaking away from her while she’s standing. This is where prearranged kill orders are handy, so that all DPS takes the mobs in order, to winnow them faster than if people are trying to pull some to traps. We’ll often set our traps in front of the healers as a safety meassure, in case something does break for them.

Double trapping is not too difficult. Keeping them trapped is a bit trickier.

Drop a trap, wait for the trap timer to indicate that you can drop a trap again, pull a mob into the trap on the ground.

Drop a second trap, pull another mob into the second trap.

This juggling can be maintained for a bit, but the trap duration timer will cause you to kite quite a bit to keep both mobs trapped for a long amount of time.

If you are in a party let them know your intentions, and make sure they don’t break traps with AoE attacks. If you don’t let them know what’s going on they are likely to think the second trap was a mistake, and worry quite a bit about trap number 1.

BRKs wisdom on pull macros and chain trapping has been pontificated on previously.

I wanna know:
– Pull macro BRK uses.. and how to use it.
– Which shot to use to pull and why… concussive, distracting, arcane.. arcane (rank 1).. which one…
– What about when I’m in a group.. and the Pally pulls by throwing her shield.. and the shield bounces off my trap mob.. what then? How do I get that bugger over into my trap? I mean that’s some serious mad aggro built up.. what should I do to pull then? (ok.. that might be a little advanced for the movie.. but I’m interested in BRK’s solution)(my solution: shoot the crap out of it with every aggro inducing shot until it’s either dead or runs over to get me)(my solution seems flawed… ’cause most of the time the mob’s 3/4 dead by the time it finally runs over to my trap)
– How does BRK juggle trapping mob A while sending pet and starting DPS on mob B without accidentally breaking the trap on mob A? (I use focus macros.. but I’m interested in seeing his solutions).

Let’s say I’m newbie hunter Noobsauce with my little piggie.. and I’ve been directed to watch BRK movies to learn how to not suck. So I watched movie #1 “Don’t melee you noob” and I watched #2 “Pet training FTW” and now I’ve watched #3 “BRK likes addons, oh and here’s how to trap things”. So I grab those (super cool) addons and run out in the wild to trap something.

Throw down my trap, watch the hunter timers. Get it all cooled down. Pull my mob (.. um.. BRK didn’t say what he used to pull.. I’ll use Arcane shot). Mob runs at me.. hits my trap and then almost immediately my auto shot pops the trap.. because BRK never mentioned how he pulled it.. or more importantly, how he did in such a way that also turned auto shot off.

It’s ok though.. I saw BRK do the same thing at the end of his movie. I must be doing it right.
