"To give your sympathies for Heath Ledger’s family and slam his role as the Joker all in the same sentence is just plain wrong"

To give your sympathies for Heath Ledger’s family and slam his role as the Joker all in the same sentence is just plain wrong. Trying too hard to seem clever? Have a little respect. You make me smile, but right now I’m frowning. Yeah…go ahead and delete this you tool.

How? It wouldn't be wrong to feel Heath Ledger was miscast as the Joker if he was still alive. Why the hell does it matter that he's dead? It's not like he's saying the vile stuff that Fox News ("fair and balanced") anchor was saying about Mr. Ledger.

Looking at a Mac Pro, even for a second, has me weeping over it's power compared to my PC (single-core, 2GHz Ram and 7600 GT). However, there are advantages and disadvantages to buying a MP now, waiting, or building you own.

The reason I'm adding a third suggestion of waiting a little while to buy a MP is the nVidia 9800 is "scheduled" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_9_Series) to be released Feb/14/08. The MP currently only comes with the 8800, and while that is all well and good, to buy a MP now and have current best nVidia card outdated on Valentines day would be a tragedy.

To build you own is the "harder" of the options for a new computer, because sometimes, and unless you know what you're doing or have a legion of loyal fan base to help you. Buying part A that doesn't work with part B and needs special cable X to interface with peripheral C may be a little stressful and time/money consuming.

(my custom Mac Pro came to a total of $26,270.95! 32GB of RAM FTW! lol)

XP > Vista
period!

Also, to all you're guildies and fans and whoever else visits BRK, a few program suggestions that may help with that hacker problem.
A-squared free. Avast! anti-virus. AVG Free edition. AVG anti-spyware. Comodo Firewall Pro with Defence +. Spybot Search and Destroy. Spyware Terminator. Windows Defender.
I believe they're all free. Google them if you want them, some may be windows only though...

I'm a geek and a techie in training (2 semesters left for a comp sci degree) and I have a piece of advice if you build a PC.
Run XP.
If you buy hardware meant for Vista, with drivers ment for vista, and run software only meant for Vista, you may not have any more problems than XP. The overhead is higher, the software is newer(aka the buglist is still a mile long), and its not what you're used to. I'm going to stick with XP as long as I can because I can train it to do what I want almost as easily as I respec my pet.
I've heard reports that vista should be avoided like the black plague. One of my fellow class mates has a Vista laptop and loves it. I can't let myself get over how hideously inefficient it is, that's just wasted resources.
Bottom line, upgrade carefully.

BRK "We are so torn between getting a MacPro with the 8800GT card and building our own PC specifically to play WoW, we’re frozen and can’t make a move."

If you are frozen it seems you already have the PC going.

I kid I kid

BRK;
Reference the new Mac Pro or a build it yourself system; IMNSHO go with the MacPro.
I run Boot camp on my sept 2006 MacPro and as a PC with WinXP SP2 it is the most trouble free windows machine I have ever used and lets me at things like Orange Box and LOTROL that do not ship for the Mac OS.

As A PC it is very fast and stable. the ATI drivers for ATI X1900 card just work for windows and let me overdrive the card which I can not do under the mac OS IT really is the best of both worlds OS X 10.5.x for almost everything and then a pc when you want to play with something not offered on the Mac OS X

Quoted from Halabar
"With all the hacked systems in your guild, and you are still considering getting a PC?.. -50 BRK points to you. No too-sweet-fruity-coffee-wannabe-drink either.

Get the Mac."

If your not entirely retarded as im 100% sure BRK isn't then he's not gonna get hacked on a PC. Common Sense = The Best Anti-Keylogger.

Also yeah Vista is pretty lame. Get it if your gonna get 2 or more gigs of RAM and want to stay updated otherwise XP is a whole lot better.
