I'd be saving those points until you can grab the Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe - only 1000 with no personal rating required and one of the best 2H axes in the game. Especially if you intend to continue doing arenas - resilience FTW! 3v3 is great fun - I definitely recommend trying it. I run in a 2v2 and 3v3 at the moment. Would like to try 5v5 too sometime.
