Hmm… If it produces its own arrows, then it’s possible that you don’t get the arrow DPS bonus… Black Bow of the Betrayer - 95.8 DPS, Timeless arrow - 53 DPS, total 148.8 DPS. Thori’dal - 148.7 DPS == Epic fail.
Well, the other bonuses are nice, but one still expects a bit of a DPS increase from an orange weapon
that thing is slower than an turtle mount. :/

I started drooling over that bow the second I heard “legendary” and “bow” in the same sentence. Looks like Blizz is making up for the fact that the Warglaives weren’t hunter-weapons.

unfortunately,this bow hasn’t any +stamina…but it still an exelent bow for pvp ^^ neeeeeeeed !
If it gets a DPS bonus from whatever arrows it can use, and that is equivalent to what we can get now, then this bow is by far the best weapon out there…
For MM and Surv. I’m not convinced that it will actually be an upgrade from BBRL, I hope it will be, but I fear it won’t be. So sad… And if that is the case, this is the most impressive Legendary fail Blizzard could ever have hoped to make.
In any case, since MM slowly gains on the massive lead BM has and by T6 it isn’t that much behind, I think this might be enough to push it into the top spot again. And once more we have collected the PvP and DPS in one tree. Fail again Blizzard.
Luckily there i hardly going to be many of these lying around in Orgrimmar, so for the 99.9% of us who won’t even hear that it has dropped on our server, BM remains top dog.
But PLEASE make that phoenix a pet… A flaming pet, just lovely, but make it hard. Make it a reward for an enpic quest. Give us a chance to have something to work towards since we have lost the Ghost Wolf.
The mounts are cool, I just hope they will be rare, very rare. Like the mount drops, or perhaps even less.
I hope the phoenix is the apolgy to the Hunter community for taking away the ghost puppies and it’s tameable.
But I want it to be like the ghost puppies in that it’s a challenging tame.
erm, i think people are mislead by your statement.

It requires quivers and arrows. What it doesnt do is
“stack with quiver or ammo haste effects”
Doesn’t stack with Quiver haste…odd. That means quivers are no longer needed, which would free up a slot for an extra bag, but you will still need a place to put all your arrow, so I don’t see the point except to render your expensive and hard-earned quiver completely worthless. Or, if you keep your quiver to get those extra couple slots for arrows then the Bow stat is completely worthless. Would have been nicer if they just made it a 1%-5% stackable haste.
If you RTFA, it says “uses no ammo”, so no quiver nor space for arrows needed. It would be nice to know what type of arrows it creates.

You DO realize that these are currently on the PTR right now? As in, people can see them and touch them in game?
What did they do, hack into the PTR and implant false date that Blizzard is not aware of..?

as far as im aware, the bow will not use any ammo at all… and while normal weapons will use bow dmg + ammo dmg… this thing will just use its base dps stat and nothing else.
so on shots that do get ammo bonus, this will not be a significant upgrade. On the shots that ignores ammo stats, this bow WILL be performing better.
so probably not a huge upgrade from existing weapon/ammo setups.

If this’s an early April Fool’s, I’ll happily be fooled for a happy fantasy for a bit. A BOW! that uses no ammo? A neato weapon like that and it’s not a gun? Squee. That’d totally save my bacon (er, beef?) as I’m a terrible packrat and always have jammed bags/bank full of odd shiny things (such as interesting shirts or two-year-old Preserved Holly or a Hallow’s Wand from my first celebration). Bring on the spare bagspace!
And even if the fiery bird looks kewl and can be tamed…how would it different from any other bird-pet flapping in groupmates’ faces? ^^; Besides being, like, fiery while doing it.

and it does spawn his own ammo
the only thing is u can only use it in raids like MH,BT etc etc.
and the Phoenix is a 310% mount dunno how to get 1

Folks… the bow does make its own arrows.. there is a post on MM0-Champion that shows the breakdown the effects.
Yeah, it might only do the same DPS as the Black Bow and timeless arrows but its going to save the hunter a crapload of gold. Those arrows are bloody expensive and I burn through 40-50 stacks of ammo clearing Hyjal and BT.
The Phoenix mount is a ultra-rare drop off of Kael (last boss in TK)… think “Baron mount” rare for those of you that actually did pre-BC instances.
