"Resto shamans REALLY good at buffing caster/healer groups, and mediocre/ok at buffing melee groups. They do not have improved wf/agi/str totems. So your solution is to do the latter? People like you need to stop looking at shamans as some kind of wf granting god and actually take a look at what they would be best at buffing."

Actually, people like you need to realise that there is actually no point taking rogues or DPS warriors to a raid unless you are planning on giving them windfury.

There is no way wrath of air totem gives anywhere near the DPS increase to casters that Windfury (even untalented) gives to melee. It's something like 15% DPS increase alone to warriors and rogues.

And it's not like I'm biased here, I play a hunter.

I could see maybe putting the elemental shammy with melee if he's 40/0/21, but the resto shammy is definitely better off with mana users. Talents + 2 piece T4 bonus = ~70 mp5 for the group from mana spring totem. Oddly enough, my shammy was grouped with 3 rogues and a hunter in Gruul's last night, so I ended up dropping windfury. Of course, the top of the WWS report was full of rogues, and even then the hunter in my group was #2 in damage.

BRK, you guys should look into recruiting an enhance shammy or two; they have that name for a reason.

@wolfstalker

While the bottom 2-3 dps are starting to get low, most of their dps is fine for starting T5 content. Another 200 dps would but the majority of the 900-1200 range, which is Vashj/Kael killing dps.

@stoop

Ele shams are moderately uber in late t4/early t5 content (they're pretty good after that, but it's hard to hit 1st/2nd place on the meters once melee gets high dps weapons). He also has the advantage that he has no dps cycle or anything. Ele dps has a balls to the walls On position, and a dps at all Off position. So anytime he can stop for 2+ seconds to get a cast off, he's putting in his max dps.

Grats BRK!

Our guild just put ZA on farm and we downed Lurker 2 weeks ago. We've had some good attempts on Hydross but have yet to kill they guy. Those transitions are a killer sometimes. We took a night off and killed Doomwalker and I got his gun!! We then headed over to TK to take a shot at the "Loot Reaver". We didn't kill him but gave it a good go. This weekend we expect Hydross and the Reaver to die. I think I will link your wws report to our forums so that the guildies can see what is needed, if you don't mind.
