We’re always on the lookout for a really good WoW addon-manager for Mac. The best one we’ve found yet? WoWMatrix.

Yes, they make a PC version, too.

    I just downloaded that, and it said half of my addons were out of date. Within a minute, they’re all updated.

    Have you used jwowupdater?

    Written in java, so, pretty much all platforms.

    Not sure why a native osx app bothers me more then a java app, but it does.

    Just checking to see if you can comment on jwowupdater verse wowmatrix.

    I use WUU (WoW UI Updater). http://wuu.vagabonds.info/

    I use Linux and this thing has been a life saver for me!

    Joot! WoWMatrix actually works and does what I thought the Curse installer was *supposed* to do instead of bugging me every hour about news for MMOs that I don’t even care about!

    And, yes, over half of my add-ons were out of date too. Thanks for the heads-up!

    Several of them. I use Pitbull myself. There’s Perl Classic, XPerl, and a whole lot of them that I haven’t tried.

    looks interesting, but almost too clean.. serious effort was put into this site, but it doesn’t have much attribution.. who did it? what are they after?

    Have you used MacAceUpdater? MAU works well enough in and of itself but I’m always on the lookout for something better so if you could do a comparison/review, it’d be greatly appreciated!

    Mainly I am weirded out by the fact “matrix” is in the name. Strange? Quite.

    MacAceUpdater got rather buggy for me and I have been very happy with WowAceUpdater for Panther since 10.5 launched.

    I love this program. Trying to keep two computers in household updated with all the addons can be a chore for a major patch. This has been a real boon to find and use.

    Here is hoping it is not tied to gold farmers, but at this point I was so fed up with all the updating I didn’t care.

    It seems wowmatrix is related to Acreon Inc.
    What company is that or any history? No idea.

    I agree that untill i hear more about it, i’ll not be installing it.

    Also i don’t like the gold farmers relation there. But I really hope It can be trusted soon and ready to use.

    I seem to remember lately that your guild had a lot of trouble with hacked accounts, and as I understand it one of the ways these low lifes acheive this is with not so secure addon-manager’s. I’m not implying that this particular addon-manager is one to be held in suspicion, but with what some of your guild mates went through recently I wouldn’t want to read about the same thing happening to you BRK…
