AV HK’s come by the bucket loads.
Proximity HK’s are a joke.
Top damage as a hunter is cake as well. I have 20k HK’s on my ALT BM hunter that I’ve been playing for 5 months…
You keep showing top damage and I’m not sure why that’s supposed to be impressive.
I read your blog because of good BM info. Not for the epeen flex of being top dog in AV.
How about some SS’s of EotS, AB, and some WSG. For one’s that you actually win - where you can’t just sit back and pew pew…

But how is posting SS of kills and damage furthering the BM cause?
Concerning the “Kitties!” screenshot, so many hunters have that cat now that I’m glad I kept hold of my beloved Ghost Saber. She’s super-awesome!
It furthers the cause because people see the power of hunters. Most know hunters are a decent class when played correctly, but the flex of posting BG shots, might turn someone who never played a hunter into trying one or someone who is a different spec hunter learn the power of BM hunters.
I know that I for one never played a hunter before finding this blog. Found the blog and rolled a hunter and now its my favorite char. Before the hunter, i rolled a frost mage and could pump out the damage topping dps charts in 5-mans constantly.
Thats where the “epeen” of posting BG screenshots can help the BM hunter community. It converted me and probably did the same for others.
Is there a “BM cause”? I had no idea! In that case, BRK get your act together. Everyone must do their part for “The Cause”!

It’s BRKs blog and i think you will find BRK posted the BG screenshot to show the 5 hunters in the top 6, having his ego stroked by being top is just a pleasent side effect.

It’s fun, it’s meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps he had a bad day in raiding or whatever. It just is a post.

It’s not about top damage in BG’s, it’s more about Killing Blows.
Also, if you don’t like what he posts then I guess you could just not come to the site instead of complaining about it. And the fact that you are countering BRK’s accomplishments with yours only makes it an “epeen” flexing contest.
It’s his blog, he can post what he wants, and he usually has an amusing comment posted with it.
As for the ghost saber, I’ve had one since I was level 18, and I am tired of seeing 10 of them every corner I turn. I enjoy my hunter enough from the roleplay standpoint, I am just so sick of looking like every other fugging hunter.
Hell part of the reason I still use daggers on my rogue is to tell myself apart from all the hemo welfared epic mace wielders.
It all comes down to, there is no originality in this game. Everything has been done, or the moment one person does it 100 people found out and do it too. This can include screen shotting HKs, have the same pet as 25,000 others ( I deleted Humar because of it ) or looking so alike as another toon you get confused which one you really are.
I think it’s funny how BRK got highest KB, highest HK, single digit Deaths, highest Damage Done, almost highest Healing Done.
That’s awesome, I wanna be able to do that.

I will come out of my lurkage momentarily, and then seep back into the anonymous depths to say that BRK is the best thing that happened to BM hunters. He is the everyman of hunters, and shares his experience with people who appreciate and want to commiserate on the in’s and out’s of the game.

AV Fun stuff BRK…but you missed the part where the opposing team got bonus honor :). I’d like to see you push it to the next level and top 400k damage in under 30 min, with the opponents having 0 honor. Did I mention that my cloth @$$ runs away from hunters in AV?
I tamed and run with Sian-Rotam from Winterspring because no matter what I did my Ghostsabers would not approach a target at anything faster than a slow walk. I trained dash and taught the saber and still it would “dash” to the target slow all the way down and saunter to the mob to attack.
I tried having a GM watch me attacking things back to back with King B and my saber and he said that it was behaving “normally”.
I really enjoyed the look of the Ghostsaber but after 3 different tames and they all behaved the same I had to abandon the saber at level 44 when dash had not fixed it and the GM’s seemed to not be able to fix it.

Yes PvE is jolly good and all that, but PVP is just as much a part of the game.

Last night, there was a Belf Hunter in the in the Aldor Bank running around with every single NCP (Non-Combat Pet) in the game, showing off her collection. It was both funny and disturbing. She even had a large collection of prarie dogs.
That thought just spawned from seeing your “Kitty” pic in of course, the Aldor Bank.
Gratz again BRK, your getting there! With all that has been going on since TBC my PVP’ing had slowed down also and now has pick back up again for getting the good armor. My lifetime kills just over 77,000 but that’s on a PVE server and back in the days when the kills really ment something, in the old ranking system, it was harder to get the upper ranks. Now a days its just, ehh! just the badges, get the badges!
As for all the Kitties, I really wonder how may are Rak’Shiri (elite) or just the wintersabers? the only way to tell is that Rak’ roars is real not just the yawning moition. That cat is hard to find, he only sponds every 3 days and the timing has to be right. For mine it took a few weeks to get him.
Gratz again man and it’s your blog, and I like just as it is. I just want to know how you got to the number one spot. I’m usally in the upper 10 but that only if I’m on Defense. If I’m on Offense I barely get a kill.

Right, who invited that Rogue to join in our Hunter’s only AV-Party that Game… I saw you in the charts and used the BG chat to let everyone know you were there :D. I had wondered before why i had never seen you in any battleground, even though we’re in the same battlegroup and both on EST.

I don’t have a kitty like that but I did tame King Bangalash(43 elite in STV) named him Elviz was going to name him Elvis since he is the king but wouldn’t let me name him that or TheKing…
He is a fun one to tame he has 2 friends with him plus a stealth one that attacks so you have to take a through away pet with you kill the others FD let the other pet die get rid of him and then tame him and hope for no re spawns wile you are doing all of that….

I don’t think that the hunter class needs to encourage ANYONE else to play a hunter, the most overplayed class in the game. Convince someone to play a tank or a healer please. We don’t need anymore pew pew pew from the background in any BGs.
I’d prefer some players that actually try to win. Why not a video explaining BG tactics rather than the “OMG I R TOPZ PEW PEW I WINZ I AM ALLIANZE!!” screenies.
Not telling YOU what to post on YOUR blog (as others say), I am just telling you what me and some others prefer, including the 3-4 hunters I talk to on my server that play well.

Why is “damage” a different colour? Did BRK say a bad word and he had to paper over it?
Grats on the 25-3. Especially the 3 part.
Usually what determines where my BM hunter ends up on the damage/killing blows chart is determined by where I end up. If I am on offense then I end up near the bottom because I’m killing more mobs than players. If I am on defense I’ll climb towards the top because I’m fighting more players.
Still, I find that I die too easily. How about a post on how to get out of a jam in a BG? What do you do to stay alive when Noob the EZ-HK has his rogue, mage, and pally friend show up.
I still recall my first PvP,it was on my Warlock.I only had a passing idea as to what the objective was,go get the flag.Everyone except one or two were just as new as me at PvP.The Alliance was just as handicapped as us.So of course it just ended up as a brawl in the middle.I wasn’t even paying attention to who was winning.I was having too much fun fighting.I got 33 kills that time,of course I got killed many times as well.
My next PvP really sucked and put me off of it for awhile.We faced off against a twinked premade.Got our butts handed to us in record time.
Man I hate twinks,especially level 19 twinks.I’ll buy decent armor and weapons and get it enchanted if my enchanter alt can do it,but no way am I shelling out thousands(yeah I saw some of their gear,on my server it would have cost thousands)in gold just to WTFPWN! lowbies.

The word “damage” is in a different colour because of BRK’s addon “ChatMOD”. This addon will pick up character names in chat and tint them to their appropriate class colour. In this case, it’s showing that “Damage” is a hunter
