Here is a list of some of the more clever guild names we’ve run across in the Emberstorm battlegroup this past weekend.

Ale Swillin Hippies (almost stopped right there, our backup-guild just might be penciled-in)
Thought Criminals (”Convicted Thought Criminals” would’ve gotten more cool points)
The Cake is a Lie (OK, so we finally looked it up)
Fist of the Unicorn (shouldn’t that be Hoof of the Unicorn, or is that the joke?)
Lords of Kobol (Battlestar Galactica reference?)
Totally unrelated, but seriously - can we just have some silence in our outer-space movies someday? 2001 had it right.
Zero Tolerance (”My Mom Says I Should Play Outside”, we just thought of that!)
My Sword is in a Horde (How about Rodney Dangerfield saying, “You scratched my sword!)
Bloodthirsty Canadians (there are other kinds?)
Blackflag (horde motel; they check in, they don’t check out)
Reality Check (”Reality Check Failed”, again, more cool points missed)
Dirty Half Dozen (Dirty Half Bakers-Dozen? The Funky Half Dozen?)
Azeroth Playmates (guild website URL, we demand it!)
Sagacious Noobs (this is all win, totally, but we also like Olde School Noobs)

That’s how I beat Shaq is the name of an Arron Carter song.
Dang - beat to the punch. White kiddie rapper from a few years back. One of the “musicians” that Disney Channel or Nick was marketing down the throats of our poor kids.
Joke’s on you, Disney - my 11-yr-old likes Rush and Metallica. /cheer

I was one of the signers of the Brotherhood of Beef, which at least initially was an all tauren guild.

BRK: Go get the “Firefly” television series on DVD (cheap at Amazon) and follow it up with the movie based on the show: “Serenity.” Great writing, great acting and Silence in Spaaaaace.
Just don’t think too much about science, though — the show is about the story, not the nerdery.

Our guild is called “Furious Pantaloons”. We have confused info on how we were named from the founders, altho we know for sure that a lot of beer was involved.

(Note: the new BG, while fantastic, is NOT Battlestar Galactica to me…after all Starbuck (while fantastic) is not a guy now…hence !BG for not BG…)

We have a guild called “Killer Kittens”, we had a “Murlocs Stole My Socks” (or was it “Murlocs Ate My Socks”?), as well as a “Murloc High Command”, though I know for a fact they’ve disbanded. Then the TB forum trolls have created a few joke-guilds, like “HI BILLY MAYS HERE” and “BRB SANDWICH OM NOM NOM”, though they’ve actually made a semi-serious raiding guild now, which amuses the heck out of me.
Another off-server name that amused me was “Ctrl Alt Elite”. And everyone loves “Two Bit Horde”.

I once heard tell of, but never saw, “Pirates of Ballsdep”. You know a name like that will get you trouble, but it is funny.
I’ve also seen “Deeprun Tram Maintenance”. And an all gnome guild “Death From Below”.
BTW, using angle brackets around guild names in this forum will make the names you type non-visible…
We had a Sagacious Noobs,but they /gdisbanded last I heard.

Yeah, when I saw Riders of Lohan, I immediately screen shotted it.
I also seem to recall some friends starting a guild of druids, priests, paladins and shaman. There were no healing specs. They called it “Learn First Aid.”
