Some WoWWebStats Reports
So we saw a comment where WWS reports were requested. OK, that we can do.
First up, here’s our latest SSC run where we recorded Lurker and Leo, we are Dione. It may seem like we’re slacking against Leo, but we don’t use our pet against him during his humanoid-phase; his Bleed will destroy our pet and we want Hobbes up the entire fight.
Not using our pet causes us to lose 30% of our DPS and, of course, that’s going to be seen in the WWS report. The first 85% of Leo is easy and MQoSRDPS isn’t the Answer to beating him. Raid Discipline is the solution to the Leo fight.
Next is a four-boss clear in Zul’Aman, we are Io. Our 1047 DPS against the bear boss made us smile. Our warlock guildie laying down a 1208 pisses us off, but in a good way.
DPS competition among raiders, channeled properly, is very healthy.
Our pathetic excuse for DPS again Jan’alai was the result of a pet mistake. We accidentally only trained Avoidance Rank 1 and not Rank 2. Hobbes died on almost every bomb attack because of the extra 25% AoE fire damage he was taking. We spent so much time rezing and healing him that our DPS tanked. We are a noob.
Finally, let’s show a Void Reaver one-shot kill, we are Lapetus. Do you want to see some happy rogues? Put them in a group with a BM hunter, an enhancement shaman, and a ret pally.
A ret pally? How the heck did he get in the raid?
When you open the report, look at the DPS Time for the Void Reaver fight. See the rogues are going 100%? That means they didn’t grab aggro, stayed up the entire time, never needed a rez, and did a tremendous job. Proper positioning for melee is crucial and Doom and the gang have totally mastered it.

i’d love to hear from/about Void Reaver’s “Lumos” for these fights… does he blog?
I’ve seen it used multiple time on BRKs posts but am unsure of what MQoSRDPS means.
Can someone please define?
re: Leo - couldn’t you just recall the pet about 2s before the whirlwind is about the start, when the call for the melee to GTFO goes out? They can avoid the bleed, so Hobbes probably can too if you’re on the ball. No?
@ Zardok
Massive Quantities of Sustained Ranged DPS
ah, ok, ty
With Leo, having our pet for the Inner Demons is more important them him DPSing Leo during his humanoid-form phases. We do NOT want to lose Hobbes for Inner Demons.
BRK~
Want to keep your pet up the whole fight on the Dragonhawk boss in ZA?
Check out this nifty trick I figured out:
Now I know that everyone does things a bit different. In the raids that I’m in, I’m the one that is responsible for downing one of the hatchers. A necesary, if not entirely glorious job — either way this little tidbit will help you out.
In my situation as the fight starts and MD’s are handled, I move rapidly towards a hatchery (the one I’m responsible for) with my pet in tow. Run down the bridge until you are few paces from the eggs themselves and ’stay’ your pet. In my case, at about this time the first wave of hatchers is coming in. Everyone burns down one and leaves the other for me. /Focus mine and ‘attack’ with my ravager “Resisted”. Lay down a frost trap near the bridge to slow down the spawns from getting to the main party and allow your tank to build aggro, we use a pally tank when possible so he can consecrate the frost trap
Watch your focus bar for the hatchers health and dps the boss. You should easily be able to kill the hatcher when needed (depends on your raid) and during the bombs if you ’stayed’ your pet on the bridge he is not drawn into the main platform. You can dance your pet in and out of the fight if needed for dps or if you’re uncomfortable with that go ahead and leave him there so you can still draw on TBWI.
Happy hunting,
Mageskinner and Resisted (…/sigh he insisted I put his name on here…)
p.s. Hey, this could be front page worthy!!!
When I did leo I just put my pet on leo human form. I took him out a few seconds before before the WW though. If I remember correctly he died one time and that was when leo went straight after me in the beginning of his WW and my feraldruid was running back towards me. Needless to say he died lol, I have the imp. revive talent though so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Next time just try killing your inner demon without your pet, just lay a freeze trap when the demon phase begins. Usually I just left him on leo demon form and killed the demon myself. Towards the end I started using my pet more though on the demons I guess.
Anyways what kind of rotation are you using? I noticed from your lurker that only 16% of your shots are steadies.
@Nick
Lumos appears to be a Frost Mage when I checked the wws report, so it might be Spicytuna, who also raids with BRK and has a blog. http://www.spicytunas.com
It doesn’t show him/her using Water Elemental though, so it might be a different mage?
@BRK
My guild is currently on VR and our rogues have been dying alot to that ground stomp thing or not even close to the top of the dps chart running in and out. Are they doing something special that I should tell my rogue guildies about?
Morogrim Tidewalker upsets the dps meters in ssc. Aoe dps usually get 2k dps which tweaks the overall results for the instance and other bosses.
BRK-
What is up with those shot rotations? Wouldn’t it be better to be more towards the 40% auto, 40% steady, 20 arcane rotation? Just curious.

WHOA a LOLADIN!>?! BRK you are total noobsauce for letting one of those silly damaged people raiding with you! I see he had 100% dps time for VR too and a dps of barely 600. lawls. I’m sure he was just holding back because of his threat problem, and is considering getting a subletly chant to his cloak to get some threat reduce *wink*.

Rogues love–pretty much all the classes, when you get right down to it. We are buff sponges: the right set of buffs almost doubles my unbuffed DPS. And we give so much in return! Look at all we do for the party… ok, we just kill things. That’s all.
Hunter buffs = 5-7% on my dps. This makes you more 5-7 times more valuable to me than any item that drops in ZA. Plus, of course, hunter tricks keep me entertained while I stand around idly waiting to open up DPS (yes, my DPS time on bosses is pretty much always 100% in WWS, that’s what rogues do, we kill stuff).
