Those 1% wipes are so painful. It’s like those mobs know how painful it is, and let you get down to 1% before they’re like, “OK, time to randomly hit the tank really hard. They won’t see that one coming.”
But getting him down to 1% means that you KNOW that Tidewalker is going down soon.

Got dragon boss in ZA down to 32% (After 8 wipes) I wanted to cry myself asleep after the Raid Leader called it. : / I feel your pain, BRK.
Yeah I think my most painfull one was my 1st time in Gruul, got the sod to 1% then he bugged and stopped taking damage.
Netherspite has also done a few of those down to 3% or less then the people rotating in green magicly gets nuke

We’ve had some spectacular low percentage progression wipes before, and never gone more than two more raids without downing the target. You’ve got him =)

1% wipes are the worst. You’ll get him down next time.
IMO, you needed a SV hunter there to tank the last 1% for you.
Our first time downing Tidewalker, about 3 weeks ago, took 14 attempts. Most of those were aborted attempts when the pally OT and 3 healers get graved at the same time, or the one memorable attempt when 4 healers got graved at the same time, or 3/4 of your AoE. Such random nastiness with those watery graves. Pally tank FTW! This week we one shot tidewalker. Having 4 warlocks along made the fight pretty easy.
This is why I get bit by snakes I do not see the obvious. Thanks for not being to mean about it. Just a little bragging got my epic flying mount last night WOOT. And sorry again BRK. Thanks BRK for making me not a lvl 70 Huntard.

It sucks, my first time on lootreaver we wiped a couple of times, then wiped at 1%, but it was late and we didnt retry:( damn rogues dying in the start of the fight..
it was awesome when our main tanks takes the last percents on zul’jin alone and kills him last man standing:D
You guys know the fight now. There is some randomness to that fight that just simply sucks. No way around it, like your prot pally or “round ‘em up” warriors getting tombed when the murlocs start coming or too many healers getting tombed at once.
Next time you’ll get him. Now you know and knowing is half the battle.

My favourite 1% wipe wasn’t a wipe.
The bear boss in ZA, our MT went down at 10%, followed by the OT at 5%, then at 1% the mage who the bear boss was after blinked down the stairs, resetting it. So it wasn’t a wipe there were 8 guys still standing, but…

Why does that put in my mind a BRK event idea? A sort of creeping doom as hundreds of hunters cover the landscape like a plague of locusts!

Our first Gruul one-shot was like that. One Hunter (not me, I was on my Warrior, ergo six feet under by that point) and four healers left, and the killing blow came from a tick of Insect Swarm from a recently-deceased boomkin.
Good times, indeed.
Damn that sucks! That happend to us on Karathress. It’s kinda funny to think that 1% of his health is over 50,000. LOL
Did you have pally tanks for the Murlocs? We always have 2 for this fight as it makes Murloc management oh so much better.

That poor fugly at the bottom of your combat list there got hit by one that was almost 18k…. Ouch!

Damn BRK… You can’t quit at 1%, you gotta do another attempt! People are pissed when this happens, they are out for blood, the bloodfury is up.
In a twist of fates, I was on my first real SSC raid last night (had been brought in to fill a spot on Lurker once before). Got Lurker easily, then the trip went to Morogrim. Guild had never downed the bastard! 5 wipes… Last one on 1%, actually I calculated it to around 0.3%, Mobinfo2 had him at 15k HP… 15000 HP?!?!?! That would be something like a few seconds of DPS even for a weakened raid.
The entire raid went nuts! Not a single person logged, eventhough we were over the time we had set off to do this. We went back and crushed the evil SOB, with only three deaths. And Yours Truly busting the DPS at 1.4k DPS, topping the charts by a wide margin. We were that focused because of the 1% wipe. Those wipes are like Rage for a Warrior.
Just killed that fat ass guy with our guild… and we were so damn close to repeat your 1% experience with only 1 hunter (me) and 1 rogue left we did that damn 1% and murlocs killed us in a seconds right after that… i bet you’ll down him next time.. he’s a kid.
Just went through this on bloodboil. Started the day at 35% and last 5 goes went 5%,10%,2%, trash reclear, 1%, Dead.
Gah, I know exactly how you feel, BRK, we consistently wipe on leo at 1% (about 8 nights on him so far), and only killed him twice.
On the other hand, we one shot Loot Reaver every monday
Okay so maybe 1% wipes suck, but its a wipe shot… with murlocs!
