Now that’s a mighty profitable series of Alterac Valleys. Thank you Horde for not defending Ice Blood Graveyard, you’re tops in our book.

If you have a Mac and want to record movies, these are the settings we use. Our screen is 1680×1050, so we record 1/2 of that aspect ratio, 840×525.

And if you want to use iMovie to export your movies to YouTube, we’ve found these settings work quite nicely with our widescreen format.

This is why using a castsequence macro in a raid setting can be Bad. No Cookie for this guy.

    Very pretty mount.

Also good on that person for calling out the hunter that broke the CC.

BRK if you want the mounts, you can do the quest…at lvl 70 it’s very easy to reach exalted and get that mount :D GL

But, since your pet now despawns when you are mounted, yeh won’t see them together. /cry I used to choose mounts to color co-ordinate with my main pet.
Still, it was sad to see the poor pet try to fly to keep up with a flying mount. I wish your pet stayed out when you got on a ground mount and only disappeared when you fly.

I’m aiming for that mount myself. When my frustration at the drop rates of the quest items reaches 0 again, I go back and grind it for a few hours. At level 70, it is very easy to do, just tag a few mobs, let the pet kill them, save on bullets, and there ya go. It’s even better if you’re a skinner - just go with empty bags, and make a trip to Winterspring every so often to vendor the leather bits no one will want. Same with mining, only don’t vendor anything, please!

And that smell emitter idea? Full of win, but only once they create a Candy Land type area. Or introduce bakeries in every major city, including Shattrath.

Hey! i got that mount and the pet too <3
Unfortunately it’s very easy to get it these days. One week of pure mount focus and you should be able to get it.

it’s already getting common on our realm (trollbane eu) To see atleast 2 or 3 in a city.

Indeed BRK. Winterspring Frostsaber is very easy to get, and with all the MQoSRDPS you haul around, grinding it out will go VERY fast. And, since you’re awesome, here’s the WoWWiki link:

Well, let me be a voice of dissent for the first time ever on here. Having a shot rotation macro isn’t the problem with that hunter. It’s having a wrong one and/or not using it correctly. I have no idea why anyone would be using one with multi-shot in it while there are CC targets up. Of course, when the patch comes out multi-shot isn’t supposed to be breaking CC anymore. I didn’t use a shot rotation macro until recently. I basically thought the same thing that you do now, being I didn’t think I needed one because I was good at timing my shots manually. I also used to think it was really close to “cheating”. I tried one and I’m hooked. You have shown that you can do great damage without one. I wonder how much more you could do with one. I know the fact that I don’t have to hit a different button to fire of KC is reason enough to use it. You can still have lots of control over what you are actually firing. You just need to pay attention.

Grats on the BG results! I hate alliance side BG’s on my server.

    @KaptK

I think the reason BRK doesn’t use a macro, based on what he’s said before, is *for him* it isn’t necessary (his DPS shows that!) and it’s more of a challenge, and therefore more fun, for him if he doesn’t. I don’t use macros because the basic 1:1 KC macro makes my KC button stick far more often than if I don’t use the macro, which cuts Autos out of my rotation until I crit and can use KC again. Also, I found that if I’m mashing that macro, I have a hard time throwing in Mend Pets, and I’ve had a heroic run in Ramps where I inadvertently broke the final sheep CC because the macro had queued up enough (thanks lag!) that it just skipped targets once my first was down. That alone was enough for me to take it off my bars!

I think it comes down to personal preference and playstyle. And perhaps a little of in-game mechanics, in the case of KC sticking more for me with macro than without. All this said… You’re right, it’s not the macro that is the problem. It’s him using a macro with Multi in it when he knows there’s CC around. If there’s CC around, he should be flexible enough to stop mashing and start timing, to avoid breaking it. No need to take it off his bar, just stop using that macro for a while.

I just finished that quest line and got my Wintersaber. My guild had me questioning my very sanity.

  10. Nejem on March 23rd, 2008 5:31 am

Took me two weeks to get that darn wintersaber, but it looks pretty :D … and I got Rak’Shiri while I was at it :D

I started the quest for the pretty kitty mount back when I was 60. I got through 7 turn-ins of meat and went.. this is nuts. Maybe when I’m done grinding rep for my nether drake I’ll go back to it though. In all my years on my server I’ve only ever seen one, and that was a loooong time ago!

  12. Galor on March 24th, 2008 10:44 am

lol, I started that quest a year and a half ago and haven’t been there since I tame Rak’s last Nov. Now that they have changed it I just may go back and restart back up again. Yeah I had just about that many AV setting in the mail box since you can only have 100 tokens, what a waste, I wish we could hold on to as many as you like on the tokens :).

Aromas. We Tauren actually smell just wonderful…..earthy…yeah that’s da word…..and with a gallon of Ogri’La Brut cologne applied? Irresistible!!! Elf women swoon (or at least pass out quickly).

As an aside, many have bemoaned the game’s lack of waist armor enchants, glyphs etc. But rumor has it that the next patch will create a Tauren Only long quest chain that climaxes with the theft of Lady Vashj’s lingerie (our spectacular scent makes this possible). Success enables a Tauren bellybutton enchant which turns our generous navels into 48 slot bags.

It’s great to be a Tauren!

I haven’t tried this rep grind, but didn’t TJ almost go crazy because of it? And now with patch 2.3 it would only take 42 hours of in game time to get the mount (vs 350 hours pre TBC). Methinks I could be doing something else fun in those 42 hours. If you skin and are broke, then maybe its decent (but still doesn’t compare with dailies and finishing level 70 quests).

  15. Rob on March 24th, 2008 1:50 pm

Oh sorry one more thing. you can save money on ammo by buying the cheapest ammo you can get. You’ll only be saving max 20dps (thereabouts) by using say, mystery arrows.
