So i was wondering why you would want to get the Shoulders of Lightening Reflexes when, even the WoW “recommended upgrades” say that the ones you have right now (along with myself) are the higher quality. Now I have looked a the pattern in the auction house ( for a mere 450g) and had the hearts of darkness in my bag, but have still over looked said shoulders. Sure the haste would be great, but then again, I don’t use much haste in my gear. Something I change, sure, but just looking to see why you want said shoulders.
Got Pattern for 250 Hearts for 425 each, Wound up in a “Lets go see Hyjal” PUG and had the pattern for bracers drop…Roll a 90 and my guild has some soon to be poor but happy Hunters.

I have to confess I’ve had insomniatic nights where my brain says “you know the dailies are reset now, you do want that alchemist stone recipe don’t you? you weren’t just lying when you said you wanted the necklace were you now?” So far I’ve managed to resist the temptation, but that might not last, afterall its not as if I’m using 4am for anything else!
rotfl, I actually woke up at 3:30 this morning couldn’t go back to sleep, so I got up and did my dailies. (4 of 4 badges of justice today, Woot!) and was just hearthing back when the wife woke up .
you lucky jerks and your multiple badge drops per day. two total for this irritable mage.
but i know the feeling. sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night and go “crap… i need to run more heroics… i don’t have the badges for the soon-to-be-everywhere caster MH”
so far sleep has won out in those cases, though.

That shoulder item, even though the stats may seem to be less than that of the T5 shoulders or the Pauldrons of Primal Fury, is actually better. The haste gives you an increase of 10DPS!!! That’s why i’m at 373.6 on my tooltip DPS, even though my gear is less than that of BRK’s (still have the 3 ebon pieces).
Buy the pattern, buy the HoDs, farm the rest of the mats, and you won’t regret it!
PS. (I just tried plugging it in on Cheeky’s and the spreadsheet agrees with me!

I did my SSO dailies early saturday morning and I knocked them all out in no time. No one around to make things difficult. I tried doing them a bit later yesterday and jesus was the place packed! So, my options are 5am or not at all. LOL

Well, I now have those shoulders. I saw the pattern in the AH for the bargain price of 700g. The only part that hurt is paying 1050g for the 2 Hearts of Darkness (we currently only have one guild selling them). It’s very unlikely though that I’ll be able to get an upgrade before the expansion hits, so I should get some good use out of them. Now I’ll just be smoking the dps for my guild by even more than I am now. Especially when I get that great new crossbow from the badge vendor that will be open for the 3rd time on my server, Zul’jin.
