For idle amusement, I rolled a cow and started the run, intentionally trying for some of the shortcuts.

If a LOT of cows take them, some will live. Me, I figure cows are smarter than gnomes or penguins, so I pass on this advice -- stay near the roads.

Longer version? OK...

If you take the coast road in the barrens - the one right before you cross the river - your distance run to get to the zeppelin tower will be shorter. You merely have to dodge river critters and scorpions. Ah, scorpions. Remember there's a quest right there which requires gathering a lot of venom, and the developers had no desire for anyone to wait a long time for spawns. Oh - and if you die on the wrong side of the river (say, while crossing), your graveyard is in the crossroads. 4 minutes behind you. Trust me, I now know this.

That little jaunt across the lake and skirting Alterac? There are only a few frenzies, but they've got a LONG aggro range against level 1 and 2 cows. Same goes for the mountain lions along shore. And then you get to the mobs...

Now the sad thing is that even on the road, Hillsbrad and Arathi are going to be death-marches. Steak and roast everywhere, as far as the eye can see. Hopefully the trail bosses will remind everyone that graveyard rezzing isn't allowed, or there will be some HUGE gains to be made by some. Heck, it's going to be tempting anyway.

I'm looking forward to the run. Along the road, with the herd.

BRK = " You must run, have no enchants, no assistance, no gear, no summoning, no portals, no mounts, etc. Take short cuts all you like."

Hmm..With all the higher level "Guardians" it may me difficult to avoid someone getting assistance.

This course is awesome! I still wish we could storm Anvilmar (Dwarf starting area thing, similar to The Den for Orcs)

Did you check the path to make sure all the graveyards are behind you? I imagine if you die and zip half a screen ahead, that's not really right. Or is the knowledge of that just "good planning"?
