HEY

Not BRK - BRK is at work and can’t take care of this right now.

With regards to the post below - I didn’t post it, so I don’t have access to edit the comments - if I could, I would. The vast majority of the comments are completely and totally appreciated by BRK and AC as a whole, I am sure.

For the very few of the rest of you - show some d@mn respect, if not for a lovely woman you didn’t know, then at least for the guy who writes this blog for you every d@mn day.

THANKS.

-TJ

It only goes to show the “Greater Internet Dickwad Theory” is in full effect even on a thread that has no place for it.

I feel truly sorry for everyone at AC and Sharvan’s family. I can only hope that when it is my time my loved ones receive the same offers of prayers and condolences from this silly little (BIG) community of gamers.

It makes me think, how my wife picks on my for calling my guild mates and WoW friends “Friends”. As you say somebody that is just a voice on vent and a silly comment in GChat is still a friend and they will be missed.

These idodts that come on just to make a smart ass comment are only showing there cowardice for they would never say it to someones face.

    Respect to the TJ.

It is really amazing to me how insensitive people can be when protected by the anonymity of the internet.

    It really boggles my mind.

Hopefully BRK will get home to moderate the comments soon, and maybe throw TJ some administrative permissions for the future. In the meantime, its probably better not to feed the troll.

    What a jerkoff.

  7. The Lords Breed on April 24th, 2008 1:50 pm

I could not find the information. When is the running of the bulls set? I had intended to make it if I could, now I plan to make it come hell or high water. There has been people in my life I have lost that I have never been able to express to them how much they are missed. If I am to able do so for someone who means a great amount to anyone, damn straight I will be there.

  8. GHOSTKID on April 24th, 2008 1:58 pm

    Thank you, TJ.

BRK and TJ, please try not to focus on the minority of posts that are disrespectful. Don’t let them get to you. Take pride that you have been able to assemble a majority of blog readers that are not a$$hats. This is quite an accomplishment in and of itself.

Once again, I am sorry for your loss.

@The Lords Breed - Please look at the top of the page. Just under BRK’s red beard you can click a link that has information for you. Within the comments of that post there is further detail.

Karma is a b*tch. They’ll get what’s coming to them. Might not be today. Might not be next week. But eventually it all comes back around.

    Dear BRK and TJ,

I’m sorry that you have to deal with such idiots, fools, and mooncalfs during this terrible time. I’m currently not playing and have my account is on ice, but I will be renewing my subscription in order to make it to the running. Thank you for speaking up TJ.

Thanks for someone finally standing up and putting these type of disrespectful persons in their place. Respect seems to be missing from a lot of people lately and needs to be addressed when found. These type of people will never understand the consequences of such behavior until it smacks them in the face, forcefully I hope.

  12. Rotting Rogue on April 24th, 2008 2:51 pm

That’s the problem with the internet. They feel there are no consequences and noone really getting hurt because they don’t see the people they’re hurting.

Newsflash kids. You’re talking to real people and can really hurt someone. You think it’s not real and it’s just online, but those are other people behind their keyboards. Show some respect and treat people the way you would if you were face to face.

Again, my sympathies to all in AC. It sounds like you’ve lost a wonderful person and will miss her deeply.

Thanks TJ and BRK. There seems to always be one or two folks who for some reason or another has decided to add their lack of wits and charms to a solemn post. Karma has even a way of reaching them thru the wires….

Though I don’t know the young person who has gone on a journey that one day (too soon) I will go on, my heart, thoughts and prayers go to those she left behind - her Parents, family and friends.

  14. Aerthus on April 24th, 2008 4:04 pm

The sad truth is that the best part of the internet is also the most unfortunate. The internet provides a voice for everyone, even those who do not deserve one. Without the internet there would be no BRK.com or TJ.com. That is not to say they do not deserve a voice that can reach the world, for everyone does, but with that privilege comes the responsibility to respect everyone equally.

Luck, fate, God, or whatever you feel determines the course of the universe has decided that there shall be those who do not believe they are subject to the same guidelines as everyone else. The are many ideas as to why these people act how they do and how best to deal with them. All I can say is for those who their immaturity is aimed at, they represent an insignificant percent of us.

I think we have all decided that, for Sharvan, the Running shall be a spectacle such as Azeroth has never seen. There will be no “voluntary” five hundred moo salute. Shattrath will be able to hear nothing but shouts of “MOO!!!” for three days.

  15. The Lords Breed on April 24th, 2008 5:13 pm

Sidebar is so long, I didn’t see the information posted on it. -.-. I have it now. See you there, and all I can hope is that Sharvan was happy playing WoW, her life, and that she finds peace. Her family will be in my family’s prayers.

  16. wraiith on April 24th, 2008 5:47 pm

one of my favorite parts of this blog is its strength to uphold certain standards of respect and readiness to send the trolls packing

  17. Jemhadar on April 24th, 2008 5:55 pm

BRK doesn’t know me. Sharvan didn’t know me. I don’t “know” both of them but I still care and suffer. Yeah I’m a fanboy that rerolled a 66 elf-hunter to a fresh dwarf-hunter just to feel BRKish. I’m now 70 (for 4 days or so) - still no use for the jumpshot but I’m trying ^^
I wish I had access to american servers. Why the f*** can’t I just create an account on us-east or -west like on WC3???

    :(

  18. FWIW on April 24th, 2008 6:40 pm

BRK, TJ, to all of AC, and mostly to Sharvan’s family…my deepest regrets.

I will now be there to show my *respect*.

  19. Mrs BRK on April 24th, 2008 10:46 pm

I didn’t know Sharvan, but I “Knew of Moo.” Knowing how difficult yesterday was for BRK and countless others, trolls are the mucus that feed on the fungus that live on pond scum.

That settles it. I’ll be there for the Run.

    Condolences for the loss :(

Unfortunately this Best of British Beef won’t be able to attend the RoTMoo’s due to the EU/US server thingymejig, but I’ll be there in spirit and I’ll mark the event on my server (Thunderhorn) by holding a 2 minute moo of respect.

Trolls - Beware, your IP can be found.. your ISP service provider can be called… we can find you…

  23. Knurd on April 25th, 2008 10:13 am

I am very sorry to hear of you loss. Myself and everyone from Defiant of Greymane send our thoughts and prayers your direction. Keep your heads up, and stay positive. I am sure that is what your friend would have wanted.

  24. Auntie Fi on April 25th, 2008 10:27 am

You go, TJ. It doesn’t matter if they are only internets friends - the people you care about are important. The persons who can’t be respectful aren’t worthy of the time it takes to type about them - ignore them.

My sympathies to you, your guild mates, and to the family of Sharvan of Blessed Memory.
