He’s Like Joan Rivers… Only Not
Irwin has been with BRK a long time. He’s not a big-time raider, he’s not a PvP god.
He’s a croc-man. It’s his thing. /salute
Do you have to have Tier 6 gear or full Season 3 epics to have fun in WoW? Nah.
Would we recommend a croc to someone who asked for pet-advice? Never.
Are we gonna jump up and down and tell Steve to forgo his love of crocs? Never!
Rock on, Irwin. Way to be.

I think it’s awesome that the big croc says “steve irwin’s pet”
Rocking it with style and, dare I say it, panache.

Oh man, that croc’s name is full of win
awesome
That’s 110 percent awesome.
Am I wrong for thinking a Nether ray pet would be funny?
@Cynddl
funny? sorta. twisted? yes. But not over a croc anyway. Croc rules for him.
That’s absolutely awesome.
Makes me miss my old Loch Modan croc. WTB more stable slots, Blizz!

Woot! I’m someone! Thanks BRK =).
And I woulda tamed a Nether Ray and named it the Irwinator, if they weren’t even gimpier than Crocs! Plus, I think it’s a bit soon for something like that. Not that I thought about it or anything…
And again, thanks to BRK for providing such a wonderful place for good (Hunter) people to hang out!
If only I could get paid to smack Billy Crystal in the face with a cast iron skillet…
or, perhaps a snake…
I would have thought you above glorifying gimmicky and slightly insensitive and insulting WoW character names BRK… obviously not.
@Ghent - Slightly insensitive? That’s gotta be the best tribute I’ve ever seen! The Steve himself would be proud of that one. As for gimmicky, remember BRK has a pet named DrMooPhD here. If you’re surprised, you haven’t been paying attention!
Makes me think back on taming the Sewer Beast outta Stormwind. Sometimes I miss ole Six.
Ghent, the true blue Steve Irwin loved nothing more than a good laugh, often at his own expense. He had a huge sense of humor bigger than his khaki shorts and he would have loved this. Gimmicky? Yes. Insensitive? I don’t think so, but then ’sensitivity’ is not something that can be measured, it’s pure opinion. So while you may find this insensitive, I do not, and there’s nothing wrong with either opinion.
Insensitive… bollocks!
Hah. That’s inspiring.
And crocs are awesomer than some. I’m getting attached to a SPORE-BAT, here. I know they are lame. But I can’t help but love Marshmallow’s little sparklies.
@Ghent - I made Irwin roughly 3 years ago, before Steve Irwin’s untimely death. Not that I would rename him, but would you donate the costs towards renaming him due to my perceived insensitivity? And gimmicky? When is a character’s name not a gimmick? I’m glad for anything that helps me stand out some from the crowd. Plus, it’s not like I put having a croc pet above group/raid needs, as I also have my pet cat Schrödinger as well.
@Stoop - Steve is the Sewer Beast! I had a friend spot him in SW pre-BC and I tamed him and he went with me from 52-70.
Very nice. I created a lowbie hunter one time named “Crocmaster” just to focus on a hunter with a croc. Man, i wish TBC had a wider variety of pets. Leveling pets from low levels to 70 = insanely hard.
Ah Another Croc Hunter!

Skarlarth and Dundee from Medivh are brimming with green jealousy as we have nto yet been able to obtain a mini-Dundee yet.
Must. Keep. Fishing!
@Skarlarth - My third croc was named Dundee before I had to ditch him to make room for my raiding cat. Keep at that fishing! It was a happy day for me to get Muckbreath!
@The Vegetacron - There are a bunch of high level crocs available in BC if you want to go that route. Black Morass and Netherstorm both have tameable lev 67+ crocs. ZA has lev 70 crocs, but I don’t know if they’re tameable.
Aside from a cat I used from lev 10-12, until I could tame a croc in Loch Modan, I used a crocolisk exclusively all the way to 70. I was quite pleased with the massive amounts of DPS Schrödinger (my cat) can put out but I did feel a twinge of disloyalty for sticking Steve in the stable.

*ahem* TROOOOOOOOLL
I know some of our Hordie hunters may not like it, but my Cat’s name is “HatesHorde”. I got spanked quite a bit in BG’s and when I rolled a hunter I decided to name my pet that. It is awesome when my big old red kitty is rolling towards a hordie with his name right in their face. Just too much fun! But a shout out to all the horde hunters, just a game. lol
I’m another hunter who can’t let go of her croc. I have been traveling with a croc since…well forever…I’ve had crocs named Elviss…(a tribute to the croc in miami vice), Pavoratti, and the current a big albino named Liberace. And yes, I too have Muckbreath, i focused for weeks on getting a baby croc to run along side Libby. Libby has taken on a life of his own seperate from mine…gets greated in chat constantly by people who “know” and love him, and was even Best Man at a wedding in STV. I couldn’t abandon this pet even if I wanted to…he is way to loved by others.
Now if only they would give crocs a special talent all their own, like a death roll, or a water attack, or a charge.
I think I would be lonely without the nosy growl and headshake my croc brings to my world.
