Well I just want to thank you, BRK.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to think outside my box so to speak. I arrived at the Running Bulls event about a quarter to start time, and while I tried to receive a guild invite or a purple shirt, I got neither but I did not feel disappointed. I made my cow -- Jërsey -- and lined up with everyone else, feeling awkward but un-deterred. Kind of anxious, but kind of excited as well...When we began running I was impressed by the awesome displays of Moo's and the spamming of barrens chat, thinking to myself that this must have been daunting to all the Chuck Norris-joke sharing mooks who normally frequent the chat.

At Camp Taurajo, I decided to part paths with the main herd and go an alternative route: I went south and made my way the mountain route through to Dustwallow marsh. Part of it was I wanted to reflect and be alone with my thoughts, another part of it was my intention to reflect on a player I had never even met: Sharvan. I have lost family members in the last 8 years and each one of them had their own special impact on my life and while i will always miss them, what they gave me in life I will always treasure.

I found myself the victim of hyenas, quillboars, and thunder lizards on my way to the mountain pass, and thinking I was safe found I was wrong with my greetings by gators in the marshes. To say that the death run to catch the boat was challenging is an understatement, but eventually, after a lot of running from the graveyard, some laughing and a little determination I made it on board. I had about 2 minutes to relax before I got to enjoy the same pleasure arriving in Menethil Harbor and s-l-o-w-l-y making my way to the Wetlands roads, only to be confronted by my new found friends: gators.

The run through the pass and over the bridge to Arathi highlands went smoothly enough, until confronted by my last and final deathrun to hammerfall: spiders and raptors. I was happy to see that my arrival at the graveyard was greeted by the timely arrival of the rest of the pack. As I walked the last few paces, and after a greatly appreciated rez from another player I made it through the gates of Hammerfall. My wife will not understand why I was slightly crying, but the memories of the loved ones I have lost had something to do with it.

The fact that some moron paladin decided that that was the perfect time to attack a large group of level 1 or 2 taurens was a surprisingly cathartic release of anger, as I gladly launched my proud tauren warrior, Jërsey, into the fight to bring him down. Needless to say I pvp flagged and was summarily cut down but I felt it was a worthy endeavor.

WoW is just a game but i will say this: this event will have a special place in my heart as having made me reflect, have fun and feel passionate in a medium that I normally would never have expected it.

So thank you, BRK...Jërsey salutes you.

A lovely event. A good way to spend a day. My cow is keeping her shirt, and I will log her in occasionally and give a /moo for Sharvan, and all who die young, what the heck, all who die.

Oh, and S? Mooo. Hope you're still giggling at all the purple cows.

Just finished the race and logged from Hammerfall. I regret not going on too Ironforge, but I just didn't have it in me. It was wonderful, and the first real event I've been too, as well as this being my first comment to your blog.

Thank you and everyone else who was a part of it, I'm sure everyone has a great time! :D

:-(

no chance to make it to the race.

I said a moo as it turned to 6:00 (race time for me in CST) and wished I could have been there with everyone. I'm sure it was a special feeling for everyone mooing for Sharvon together.

I hope that I can make the 2nd annual GGR at least.

/moo salute

much <3 for BRK, Ratshag and everyone else making the run possible.

Awwww, I'm sharing the same problem as Andy, being european and all. The only way to make a working US trial account seem to be reinstalling the game so that I only have the original game, but by then the race will be over since long.. :(:(:(

Let's have a Running of Da European Bulls!
