THANKS SO MUCH BRK!

My guild did our first attempt at SSC last week. We almost got him down… stupid enrage happened at like 8% This video cleared up a couple of things that I wasn’t sure about.

I will make some suggestions to our raid leaders about hunters MDing to help build agro after the transition and everyone but the aoe’s staying on him so that we get him down faster.

So thanks. Wish us luck next sunday cuz he is going down!!!

oh and i cant wait for the Leo movie!!

This would be probably a bit more useful If I were a hunter!
My guild hasn’t tried Hydross yet, but we’ve downed Lurker. Just the tanks aren’t up to par with their frost / nature resist sets.

I usually stand on one of the sides, near a flag, since i don’t expect to draw aggro and usually FD at the transition, I find I don’t have to move, both tanks are in range and I can MD if i need to (readiness ftw)

Hydross is a very easy hunter fight.

I use my windserpent on this fight. Truly is an easy fight and the windserpent does damage to him with LB during frost phase. Plus who wants to switch pets out for just this fight.

nice movie, unfortunately my hunter has never received any of his loot. between my crappy rolls and playing my healer when the hunter stuff drops, i’ve been shutout many times.

Lovely vid… I really enjoyed it.

Despite rummaging in MH now, I know that we will be back at SSC again, and I never got the knack for Hydross. I guess I just never understood the fight, and so many times we have bypassed him for any reason.

Run back and forth… No idea where to tbh, I just run to the others. Once I even ran to the guy getting marked up as I thought that was the idea… until one of our Druid tanks got marked up. Oops… At least I didn’t die.

From now on I will just copy/paste BRK on the fight. If I can’t get it right, at least I can follow one who CAN!

Excellent video.

I need a clarification on the Misdirection mechanics. In the video you state to wait for the tank to taunt Hydross before blasting away with Misdirect up.

My tanks and wowwikki are telling me that Hydross is immune to taunt. If he is, isn’t better to blast away immediately once he’s made the transition?

He’s immune to taunt and it’s a complete aggro dump after each transition. Just make sure your tank is in position and Hydross has actually transitioned before burning those MD charges - otherwise they’ll be wasted.
