The Name is Set
Here’s probably the most concise and informative post about raiding as a Demonology warlock as we’ve ever read. We say “probably” because we don’t know squishies. It could be pure Fel-dung, we wouldn’t know.
But Bristinie is the one demo-lock that has caused us epeen-grief in 25-man raids. If he has an opinion, we’ll endorse it.
And if he ever makes a blog, it must be named BigGirlWand.
So sayeth BRK, so let it be done.

I’ve been using that one for my demo lock.
Demo is a completely under-appreciated spec.
Every raid-demo spec ‘Lock I’ve played with has pwned the damage meters.
Forget destro unless you’re geared like Illidan - demo ftw.
Thanks BRK!
@ Trollin’ Yes, when I decided to go demonology, I was ALL about that post. Every new boss fight I consulted that board, it is better than anything I can ever whip up about raiding as a demonologist.
We have 4 raiding warlocks. Currently, 3 are Felguard and I am Destruction, just for fun. Unless I assign the other 3 to non-damage curses, I usually finish 4th on damage out of us.
Felguard is the highest DPS spec for a warlock until you get lots of MH/BT gear. Of course, our kick ass warlocks are still trying to catch one BM hunter, who nobody can figure out how he is still 2-3% ahead of the rest of us.
Of course, once you go into Hyjal … locks own the meters … lol. Its really not fair in Hyjal. We went in Wed night to kick Rage around a little, and the 3 warlocks were all over 2k DPS, and the next closest was 1400.
Oh, that post on the Warlock’s Den is great for Felguard raiding. I really didn’t know it was viable till I read that. Bristine did a really nice concise summary, but check out the link provided by Trollin for details on Felguards in raids.
Ahoni, one lock should be Aff. Malediction on CoS and that 5% less physical is worth the weaker DPS. Besides being Destro/Auto-Bolt lock is just not fun.
