yeah, single digit wipes suck… i’ve been on my fair share of 1% wipes… i’ve had to punch the walls for a few minutes after each of those…

Phase 2 is fun for hunters. If you stay at stairs for water elemental and core.
Phase 3 is easy with two or three hunters using serpent sting and other instant shot.

I thought something like that might be the case. The disparity in DPS times between him and the entire rest of the raid was too big to just be slow reactions by the rest of the raid.

BRK covers 2 areas by himself which might explain why he has more dps time. He has more elementals to kill and thus have less downtime.

Wierd, looking at our best attempt, BRK had more DPS time than our tanks. I am guessing either WWS goes wacky in this fight because of the distance involved from one end of the platform to the next or Melee DPS time is really down due to getting snared by Vash.

Yes, but BRK is consistently at the top of the DPS time charts, even over the other ranged classes, and often by a wide margin. Europa is the only other ranged character even sniffing the DPS time that BRK is getting. Surprisingly enough 2 of your warriors, Sifr and Wahid, are also near the top and generally ahead of even ranged DPSers other than BRK and Europa.

Now, I have no familiarity with this fight whatsoever, so perhaps BRK is getting a role in this fight that gives him an advantage in keeping DPS time high. However, the disparity is so large that I have a hard time believing that the other ranged classes can’t keep up if they work and focus on it.

We are a casual raiding guild which leans more social… I think the point is to get through the content with people you like playing with.

The people DPSing the elementals can have some DPS downtime if their area is clear. In this fight I think you are going to see ranged with better DPS time than melee since they can stand at the top of the stairs and shoot at more than 1 type of add during phase 2. Melee also lose DPS time when they have static charge, are rooted, are stuck waiting at the bottom of stairs for a spawning taininted, etc. Basically, it is typically not good to compare DPS time of ranged and melee unless you are fighting a stationary boss or a fight that doesn’t have parity in the two types of DPSer.

And geez, nearly 60% of your shaman’s heals were LHWs? Please tell him Chain Heal 4 is his (and your raid’s) friend.
