I cry every time I see one of these AC recruiting post... there are only a few times in my WoW playing time that I regret rolling a horde. Although a few deaths later from those little football-size back stabbers reminds me why I enjoy killing alliance.

Ya know, if this had come two weeks earlier and I wasn't in a guild already, this would have been the only guild I would have considered tranferring off of a PvP server for.

Seriously.

Oh well, good luck with your recruitment!

@ Vorian

Thanks for the info! As it turns out however I have medium hands. :(

Still not comfy... also, I don't think I can get used dropping my fingers when I am so used to moving them side to side instead.

@ Elwynnia

Could you elaborate on mapping the mouse wheel?

I tried out the n52 and absolutely hated it at first. My problem was that I was used to having the number keys across the top, and there simply isn't a row in the device for them.

I tried and gave up twice and was ready to return it, but then decided to give it one more shot after reading a guide on how to move from keyboard turning to mouse turning. Once I got used to mouse turning, it freed up two more buttons on the pad (really three, because I moved the "back" button to a lower key that isn't as accessible as my normal configuration), and that in combination with mapping my mouse wheel to do some functions has made it really work for me. Now that I have all my important buttons mapped and accessible, the device feels very comfortable. I am also not point and clicking any of my shots or main functions- the only things I point and click now are things that are used out of combat or very rarely (such as shadowmeld, the various tracking abilities, etc.) The bottom line to this is- I made it work, but it took some messing with and a lot of different configurations to end up with something I was happy with.

The only concern I have now is that one of the buttons on it seems to not work all of the time, so I'll need to look into what it will take to have it fixed.

Overall I like the bigger keys and the hand rest. Playing with it feels more "natural" and comfortable over long periods of time. I've used it a lot for both my hunter main and my leveling tankadin.

For a different perspective, my wife, a very casual mage, tried it an instantly fell in love with it- no going back for her. And she still keyboard turns (though I believe she does a lot of more point and click and only has a few of her main spells mapped to keys).

@Jacemora

Try the second palm rest setting.

Grab the palm rest and wiggle while pulling up. You'll see that there are two sets of holes to put the palm rest in. one for big hands one for small.

try the second set of holes and see if its any better.

@ Tirth

For what it is worth, I bought one to try it out and I didn't like it. Doesn't feel natural as to where my fingers fall but I think the biggest thing is the learning curve of using new controls. Alot of the buttons are just not within reach without taking enough fingers off from their default location and losing where I am on the device. You might want to go to your local Electronics store and see if there is one on display and how your hand specifically falls on the device.

I would say one of the toughest parts is that I play both at work and at home and would find it even harder to switch back and forth playing with and without it even if I took the learning pains to use it.

Mine is collecting dust as I continue to use my keyboard and macro point and clicks.
