    I think you split him in demon phase to get a few seconds of free DPS. At least that is what I have been told.

    Excellent video, as always.

    1. Why aren’t you shooting him during whirlwind? There is no aggro until he stops spinning.

    2. You split him in demon phase so that you can go crazy on dps while he is talking.

    We don’t shoot during the whirlwind because, should we hit him after the whirlwind ends, we’ll grab aggro and wipe the raid. Why take a chance.

    I agree Leo is a boss you need to manage precisely no need to take any unnecessary risks :)

    I always just stop shooting when there is about 3-4 seconds left of whirlwind, never pulled agro yet. See what you’ve done to me brk, I always need to squish out the last few bits of msqrdps possible.

    Good job, Squire.

    I have a question for you about using your pet to fight your inner demon. Someone that was with us the other night when we were working on this boss told me that isn’t a good idea. He said that if your pet gets the killing blow on your inner demon then you still end up getting mc’d. Has anyone had this happen before?

    1. about 3 channelers and melee, just spread them out a little and melee can kill 1 while range handles the other 1-2

    2. you should just continue dps when he starts whirling and you can stop couple sec before it ends, it’s not your first Leo, so you should know how long whirl lasts, granted that those 6-8 shots won’t change much, but there’s no need for ranged to stop dpsing when he starts whirling

    @Kaptk

    Yeah I heard that too and at first I was scared to use the pet, but now I use the pet all the time and have yet to get mind controlled. I doubt I’m always lucky enough to get the killing blow so I am beginning to wonder if Blizzard didn’t fix this problem, if it ever was a problem.

    We use a Hunter as our tank, not as good at building aggro, but nothing a well timed MD can’t fix. We also raid with 4 hunters so we can have a good MD rotation going on. We MD on to the human form tank as well, just for good measure.

    I have been wondering about the pet + Inner Demon issue too. A fair few times I have forgotten to pull Flappy back in time and I have yet to be MCed by that.

    I don’t know if it is worth ‘testing’, but I might be more lieral in pet-usage. In any case just have the pet recall on a quick button and recall him a few seconds before it dies. I generally manage to kill mine in 12-15 secs using my pet until the last 20%.

    Love the boss guide movies, BRK!

    Any chance of doing Gruul’s and/or Mag’s?
    (our guild is just about to start 25-mans for the first time)
