Thank You Z

Step 1. Make sure you choose the Mac client, or you’ll come home tonight and throw the computer in the pool.

Step 2. Tell Mrs BRK not to shut down or put the computer to sleep all day.

Step 3. Try not to skip out of work so early they catch you.

Step 4. Don’t publicize the fact that you’re totally skipping out work early today; people at your work read your blog.

He wanted to be surprised. But the fact is that if HE PLAYS he will lose all credability and honor points and have to deal with himself until the L-90 Expansion “The Brood of Temeko” (release date April 2011)

WISH LIST: Can you make us a few Video’s.
I want to see the area
I want to see you tame something other then a DINO
I want to see hunter skills being used.
    I want to see more…
I want to see the new battlegrounds.
i want to see the new honor system?

    Thanks… PLEASE BRK

  7. Rilgon Arcsinh on August 8th, 2008 8:51 am

Step 3 and 4 appear to be… contradictory? *Surestrike Goggles explode*

But by the light of Elune, I swear to god, the first thing you do when you copy over is go to Molten Core and Beast Lore an Ancient Core Hound. Please? Pretty please with blueberries on top?

    <_<

You’re fired… pack your box and leave the building…

    We can only hope.

  12. Curtis on August 8th, 2008 9:27 am

Just one question. . . . what are you gonna do if WOTLK is not the BM-is-the-only-way-to-go-for-99%-of-pve-content tree? Heck. . .what am _I_ gonna do? :O

  13. Xathras on August 8th, 2008 9:39 am

Grats BRK! Like others I have to admit that I’m envious.

  17. Andover on August 8th, 2008 10:23 am

Question is BRK: PvP or PvE realm for Beta?

  18. Rilgon Arcsinh on August 8th, 2008 10:27 am

Rilgon, last I heard, Core Hounds are not tameable.

I’ll be on my helicopter crying blueberry tears. :(

  19. PvE of course on August 8th, 2008 10:32 am

You really have to ask if he’s PvP or PvE?

    PvE fo sho.

  20. Thunderstone on August 8th, 2008 10:55 am

    Grats to the beta.

Now when you are in the beta maybe you could check something that’s been irritating me.

When you send out your pet to a target, the target doesn’t get tagged as yours until you shot it. This state of things upsets me as it’s natural for a hunter to let the pet build up some aggro before opening up.

Having to shot immediately when in competition for motes or any other drop just to avoid the target being tagged by some sneaky rogue before aggro is established is unnatural in my eyes.

Could you maybe check if that game mechanic changes in WotLK?

p.s. I love your blog and you have made me a better hunter

  21. Green on August 8th, 2008 11:05 am

    @Thunderstone

3 Tips.. and use your skills.

    1) Setup a Macro to MD the elemental to pet and your target is yours
    .
    2) Tag it go after it hard. Send in pet. (FD)

    3) Send pet use Concussive Shot (STOP casting macro) Trap just incase your pet cant get aggro fast enough.

Alternate the 3… Fast and efficient.

  22. Kaelysta on August 8th, 2008 11:09 am

If you want a heal bot there let me know! I would be honored! hehe :P

    Grats on beta!

  31. Aboo on August 8th, 2008 1:45 pm

I received a Beta invite as well, but I’m concerned that it is not legit. How can I ensure that it is before plugging on this information into this site they’re asking me to?

Does Blizzard have a contact to verify Beta invite emails?

  32. Irwin on August 8th, 2008 1:47 pm

    Woot! Gratz!

Official forums guide to verifying beta invites.

  35. Aboo on August 8th, 2008 2:40 pm

    @Sid

Thank you much! I hope it turns out legit, my guild will be upset at missing their off-tank for the ZA run tonight, but I think they’ll understand! :)

  36. Ragar on August 8th, 2008 3:06 pm

Grats on getting in. I’m looking forward to hearing what your impressions are on the hunter changes; none of my hunter friends have gotten in yet and I’ve been having too much fun with the three plate classes to copy mine over. Maybe once I get the death knight to Northrend and get my tanking fix.

  37. Dwynell on August 8th, 2008 4:09 pm

Aboo, be very careful because before I received the official invite, I got a scam one as well. If you’re not sure, and if the link above doesn’t help, contact one of the Blizzard reps through the WoW.com site.

It was only after I entered by beta card from Blizzcon that I received the official invite.

    Good luck!

  38. MajHunter on August 8th, 2008 4:39 pm

Gratz bro. Hope to see you on the PVE realm. /join Hunter

  40. Brissinger on August 8th, 2008 5:10 pm

Welcome to the beta! I’m looking forward to seeing some of your musings on pet talents :)

  41. Aboo on August 8th, 2008 7:54 pm

    @Dwynell

Yep, it appears my email was a scam attempt. It looks EXACTLY like the emails in the two pictures on the forum posts. Minus the little bit about the beta code. :)

I’ll forward it to the Blizzard staff tomorrow morning, just to give them a heads-up.

  42. Thunderstone on August 9th, 2008 6:32 pm

Thanks for the advice Green. I’ve been using using No# 3 for sometime. The others have too long cooldowns for a competitive situation.

Unfortunately being able to work around something I see as a flaw doesn’t make me much happier. :)

That’s why I would like that mechanic changed.
