That’s why you get VLC media player. WMP tends to have trouble playing .avi’s.

Onyxia has been soloed by level 70s before.
Paladin and Druid are the ones that I’m aware of.
Doesn’t surprise me. The first two to solo Onyxia were a 70 Druid and a 70 Hunter. (The Druid’s is contested by some because she brought a friend along to clear the trash, but he didn’t do anything in the actual boss battle. Honestly, if she had remembered to /kick the friend before starting the boss battle, she’d have gotten full credit for the kill. :/)
On the one hand, this is SO cool and I really want to try it myself.
On the other hand, it kinda breaks my heart because I have never seen Ony, ever (started playing well post-BC) and I don’t know that I’ll ever get to fight her at level, the way it’s meant to be.

The only reason that the friend (a hunter btw!) stayed was because there is a known bug with the pathing of the mobs leading up to ony. More than 1/2 the time, if the last trash before ony respawns during the fight it will aggro which it is not supposed to. Thats why the druid kept the friend there to Battle rez in case of the bug (which did occur in the filmed attempt unfortunatly). Anyway, it was a true solo of Ony, just not the entire instance.
Other than that….AWESOME! I’m so getting my bow now no matter what. Every 3 days its off to ony till i get the drop
That’s pretty sweet. I guess I should get my hunters attuned for Ony while I have some time to kill before Wrath.

All content becomes outdated thus soloable. Look at the number expensions released for older MMOs like EQ and DAOC.
When you’re level 100 in a game which once maxed at 60, naturally the older content becomes cake. Given enough time you can solo Karazhan bosses, gruul, Magtheridon too, the same way your level 70s can solo bosses from level 40 instances.
No matter how hard content seems, it will always be downgraded later.
A few days after the contested Druid’s attempt, a Paladin actually did solo her (no friend involved).
The friend was only there because the warders outside sometimes have screwy pathing and join in on the Onyxia fight.
Eh, it’s cool they went and did it. It isn’t cool it was abusing the Roar of Sacrifice bug. If they were able to keep their pet alive during the tank and spank, some effective Frost Traps and kiting would have dealt with the whelps. Mix in her bears Swipe. I know it’s tempting to use the bug. I know I made a short video showing a less than effective implementation of the bug but it really shouldn’t be focused on since it is a known issue and will be fixed.
We’ve already 2-manned Attumen (with ease, I must add) so it seems likely that solos of Kara bosses aren’t far off.

she got the Black Sinew off Ony so all she needs is to go to MC and get the leaf to start her epic quest to get the Hunter Epic bow. NOT THE LEGENDARY BOW the EPIC, as in EPIC from the old world. If you don’t know what I am talking about you probably have some things to learn about the Hunter class.
I haven’t been playing for long so please excuse the apparently noob question… how? Does Onyxia do that little damage? So the talent makes the pet take a large chunk of the damage to you right? How do you keep the pet alive?

I’m fairly certain there was more abuse there than just the roar bug unless something changes dramatically with Volley by 77th level. Chain Volleys? Yes, please, and pass the ketchup. I can’t imagine they’ve eliminated the cooldown on it entirely, though, like in Phase 2 in the movie…or have they?
