No Teams, We Get It

Alright, the masses have spoken loudly and clearly. The team-concept of the scavenger hunt, you don’t like. OK, it’s out.

But let’s see if you’re still up for something besides a race. We’ll modify our rules for the scavenger hunt, making it a solo-event, with the top five people receiving a prize.

We have five prizes, so the person who collects the most items gets first pick, and so on. Sounds good to us, now let’s hear from you.

I’m looking forward to being there, no matter what the format. It’s going to be a busy night for me, as my guild is doing an American Idol thing that night also, but I should be able to race/hunt and sing at the same time :D

There are 2 schools of thought on the subject of scavenger hunts:

    1) Scavenger hunts are fun and challenging, like crossword puzzles and sudoku.

    2) Scavenger hunts are lame and boring, like crossword puzzles and sudoku.

Sorry, but I tend to favor the second school.

I REALLY liked the idea, but am finding out that my weekends are no longer my own.

    Maybe another time, gl+hf guys!

Well this looks boss to me now. Race or scavenger hunt, either way I’ll be there running around.

    Thanks BRK.

I ran the last race as a show of support to Sharvan’s family. I wasn’t there to win a prize, I was there to give something.

In return I got an unforgettable experience.

Sponsors are nice, but how about something loftier, less material.

I voted against the scavenger hunt in the previous poll but never got round to explaining why I don’t like it. I’m not opposed to teams, that’s a moot point.

Regular WoW is largely a scavenger hunt, and I’m looking to do something else, something in WoW that is not WoW, and a ridiculous race is more fitting with that desire.

If I’m going to run around hunting for items, I’m just going to play one of my regular characters and get xp and loot from it and hang out with my guildies. But a race, that’s different.

Where is the love for the Europeans? lol

I’m really intrigued to discover what is on the great big list. And if there is some weird “meeting point” at the end of the 2 hours, that will almost seem like a race as well.

I know it’s hard to please everyone, but kudos for your efforts!

what about a team race. you create a level one orc. You and a bunch of other little orc buddies have to use your team to survive and make it to like a level 10 area. you have to level along the way. something like that would be fun and give the ability to use teams and strategies. I think it would be a blast.

Kestrus’ team race idea I like!
Working with 5 other lowbies to not only stay in a race but to overcome the inevitable challenges could be a blast. Sort of a Cannonball Run kind of race! Individual race teams, preposterous odds, absurd shenanigans along the way!

I voted either, depending on how hard it is, I may end up running around aimlessly, but at least I don’t have to let down four other guys when I fail myself!

Anyway, I will be there for sure!

I really wish the event also happened on european realms >.<

I won’t be there.I’ve played the Orc/Troll starting zone so much it’s not even funny.

I’ve cleared Skull Rock over and over again for a http://www.wowhead.com/?item=14544 .Hour after hour. That zone is one big scavenger hunt anyway.

So why bother on a character I won’t be sticking with when I could do it on a server I intend to stay on?

Scavenger hunt is a silly idea. There’s a reason no one does them. They aren’t fun.

Running of the Bulls had meaning, this is just pointless time wasting.

I like the scavenger hunt idea, and I liked the teams part too. To each their own I suppose. I’ll be there in any case. =)

Due to impending wedded bliss (not mine), I cannot attend.

However, given the format of a scavenger hunt, and the lack of a real reason to do it, I probably wouldn’t anyways.

I missed the run for Sharven. I donated, though, since I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it.

This event… Honestly, it’s WoW with RL rewards.

    It ain’t got no soul.

I’m there – and I think I have a friend too. Nothing wrong with the two of us grouping together, right?
