* Wing Clip - New rank added “Inflicts 50% normal melee damage and reduces the enemy target’s movement speed by 30% for 10 sec.”
* Most Pet Skills - All ranks had a slight damage increase.
* Froststorm Breath - All ranks now slow for 5 seconds.
* Glyph of Aimed Shot - Now only reduces the cooldown by .5 seconds instead of 1
* Lock and Load - Now only affects your next shot, not the next 3.
* T.N.T. - Chance to stun only on when trap lands, and now increase the critical strike chance of your Explosive Shot and Explosive Trap by 3/6/9%, down from 5/10/15%
* Kill Shot - Now deals 200% weapon damage plus [RAP * 0.3 + 400.0] instead of weapon damage plus [RAP * 0.15 + 2500.0].
* Hunting Party - Effect now listed as lasting for 15 seconds.
* Master’s Call - Can no longer be cast while stunned.
* Aspect Mastery - Aspect of the Monkey - Reduces the damage done to you while active by 5%, down from 10%. Aspect of the Hawk - Increases the attack power bonus by 30%, down from 50%.
*Cobra Strikes - 2 special crits (was 3)
*Invigoration - 50/100% chance for 1% mana (was 1/2% mana)

Did you notice all the haste BM can’t use?.. that set sucks for BM. (along with the 10-man set).
Let’s face it, Blizz is nerfing the hell out of BM, and to a lesser extent hunters overall, in an attempt to balance this pox of exotic pets.
Exotic pets are evil.. they will be the death of our class, and certainly the BM spec. Sure they will be fine for doing quests, but you’ll be blown away on the damage charts by MM in raids.
Blizz: take these things back, and take the nerfs with them.
I have a question for the next podcast, which Fearstalker hinted at above:
What’s with all the haste rating on hunter gear? Why didn’t we have it before, why do have it now? Does it have to do with the removal of autoshot clipping?

Why is haste bad for beast master hunters? With steady shot no longer clipping, your hasted attacks are faster, more chance to crit, more chance to proc improved hawk, more crits means more energy from go for the throat.
More energy means more moves for your pet, which is more chance for your pet to crit and activate his abilities.

Take a look at the BRK WotLK forums for a good disucussion. From what I gather, with the quiver and SS, BM hunters are already almost haste capped; meaning that despite the cast time for Steady Shot getting mathmatically faster and faster, it is still limited by the 1.5 second Global Cool Down.
In one of the dungeons there is a orc hunter boss who has a feral druid tamed. It’s in one of Wowhead’s Project Lore videos.

@The Lords Breed - Haste is useless in WotLK precisely because steady shot and auto shot are no longer linked. Auto shot will still be limited, as stated by someone else, by the 1.5 second CD. The stats on the Naxx 10 set are awful.

They are not done adjusting abilities, we just need to run to the beta forums and calmly and logically bury the forums with posts of what they farked up. Or rather, those of us with beta keys need to. We must remain positive, predicting doom and QQing over beta builds is silly. Internally the beta changes every day, I wouldn’t be suprised if some of the big nerfs(talking all classes here not just hunters) get reverted very fast.
Now if these problems hit PTR when they put 3.0 up, then its time to panic.

Looking at the blue responses, many of the changes are in response to WTF posts, so it IS important to raise the issues, get those with beta keys to ask WTF and hopefully get things fixed. Lot harder to get them changed once it hits PTR.
Drotar’s post about the Viper issue is a great example of how to post and get a blue response.
I made the same druid request. I want a Tauren Druid tho, with horns. It can count as all 5 pets and i wouldnt mind. a Cow, a Bear, a Seacow, a Cat, and a Bird. chyeah.
If I recall correctly, wasn’t haste changed so that it is able to reduce the GCD to a maximum of 1.0s?
If this is indeed true (which I’m pretty sure it is) then haste does help Beast Master Hunters to an extent. Also, because Auto Shot clipping is non-existent now, haste ups the amount of Auto Shots fired allowing for more DPS.
