Hey I just got my new glasses from being “given the drops” a few weeks ago.

Someone should explain the dangers of using drugs to Blizzard. It almost makes me sick to my stomach. I think they should take the Wilson ball thing from the movie Cast Away and make a helm out of it. “Wiiiilllson”

But, honestly, is Blizz TRYING to drive all of us to AoC et al.? I mean, come on, the gear outa ZA was painful for so many classes. The Chicken Bow is down right insulting. The gun in Wrath that BRK showed yesterday made me go “Huh? It better have a grenade launcher attached.” And now, this. Good lord, man. Just put together a decent looking set.
I know some people were hoping for different designs rather than recolored versions of Tier 0.5/1/2. But at this point, I’d rather just have the recolored versions.
That’s all Pre-Wrath ZA gear, which is admittedly ugly as sin. My own paladin is much better dressed than that.

No, it’s not that bad in and of itself (other than the jumping in your chair like a cricket part).

That’s also gear from ZA. Shoulders are Sunwell, I think. It actually looks better with the other helm, I think.
Still, better than our current T7 (redone Redemption, ugh).

Honestly, I sorta like it. It’s appropriately sickening and dread-inspiring. The purple is a little off. The yellow eyes need a little more orange and should have a rising-flame-smoke-cloud particle sort of effect.
Oh, and thanks to all the commenters here. Reading them made me giggle the most I have all day (and it’s been an interesting day).
Honestly after looking at the 10-man/25-man Naxx and the Savage/Hateful/Deadly Gladiator gears on mmo-champ last night for all the classes, I can’t see why in the name of all that is unholy and awesome would they want to make the gear look so BAD. I think I will reactivate my EvE account so I can get my eye candies and still be able to function in WoW. Then again I can always dress up my BE in her Brewfest gear and go fight low level mobs all day long, she’s cute btw.
That has got to be the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. Given a choice between looking at that and having the drops….
That gear is pretty much all from Live. Except the weapon, I can’t tell.
Sorry to always be the grammar/spelling nazi (it’s a dirty job, someone has to do it), but “/wretch” — “deplorably unfortunate or unhappy person” — makes no sense here. I’m pretty sure you meant “/retch” — “to vomit” — instead.
Unless, of course, you think the Paladin is unhappy with his/her/its gear and/or unfortunate to have it…
Last time they tried to give me the drops I told them i had ridden my motorcycle to the appointment…I told them it was a 3 hour ride home…they said well your eyes should be fine by then
That helm is why Blizzard gave people the ability to turn their helm graphics off
There’s a worse test than the puff of air, Pike. The one where the big blue light comes in and lands actually ON your eyeball while it’s numbed, doing a manual glaucoma test. It’s like a small cup that fits around your iris. You don’t really feel it, but just the idea that, while your eye is numb, a funky thing is slurped up against your eyeball is nasty. Glaucoma runs in my family and I always end up with that one.
