Download the YouTube-sized (161MB) movie here, and the full-sized (250MB) movie here.

And here’s the reason we always invite a stenographer to these events. Megs has a great writeup of the whole thing.

What she forgot to mention was our Epic Bandaging Skillz when the food didn’t work. /flex

Dang missed this one, and I play on Drenden – lol. Loved riding down STV and seeing all the bodies, god that was funny. Wonder how many people swam from SH.

  12. Huntur on October 5th, 2008 8:32 am

Our guild had one of these about a month or two ago. Great fun. Ours was only about 50 or 60 Gnaked Gnomes but it was still a blast. Is BRK copying a guild off of lowly Failgun (Baelgun)? :p

  13. BRKamunishun on October 5th, 2008 8:42 am

It was so much fun- gratz to the winner and loser. Though about 100 of us went on to Ratchet and eventually raided (corpse ran) Orgimmar, it was worth it. The only way to win was make the first tram, and die very few times in STV. Turned out swimming didnt work for many. Then you had to die so that you rezzed at BB. It was so much fun just running thru Duskwood alone with a group of gnomes the suddenly the one right next to you gets killed!

  14. kunukia on October 5th, 2008 9:48 am

Not too many swam, maybe 5 or 6 of us. At least that is what I saw.

  15. Cel on October 5th, 2008 9:55 am

Swimming was fine until we hit STV and then the teethy fish and crocs started eating us.

  16. Stern on October 5th, 2008 10:10 am

There was a lot of interesting things going on at once. It seemed many were following a herd and trying to improvise their routes on the fly. For a while I thought I had a chance given that some questers had killed a fair amount of mobs east of the Duskwood river. Of course then I ran out of meaty mobile mob magnets (competitors) around me and got owned. STV was indeed a very dangerous place to be.

Best part of the night was:

Competitor: I’m first to Org! What do I win?!
Megan: Congratulations! You win a COMPASS!

We found it so difficult to see ourselves through the wall of text that the gnome gnames produced, that we ended up forming a raid of guildies, turning off names, and raid-marking everyone. Made it so easy to see where everyone else was! “Skull’s down! Skull’s down! Run, square, run!”

It was, as always, great fun. Our guild had a blast, right up until the traditional raid-the-other-faction’s-capital. Then we sort of died a lot and gave up. But Orgrimmar on Drenden has a host of gnaked gnome bodies littering its entry today!

Thanks for shooting the video! For the ones like myself that missed the event it was still a blast to see all the fun.

  19. Marathonian on October 5th, 2008 12:15 pm

Totally forgot the event was even going to happen. You might have advertised it a bit more BRK.I check your blog every day and saw nothing. And the way my memory had degraded in recent years I need some reminders.

I missed the first tram and then the lag from Trade District caused me to miss everyone else in the second group.

It was fun even though I knew I wasn’t playing to win.
WTB new computer, better connection, more RAM
    =)

I wanna do this again now lol.
As long as we stay out of Shatt and SW’s Trade district.

I missed the first tram. While running to IF I turned my camera backwards to see the ocean of gnomes but accidentally clicked the right mouse button too, causing me to run backwards T.T I then proceeded to take so many screenshots that I lagged back. I actually got to the tram in time, but I couldn’t actually see the tram and by the time I figured out that I should just jump the thing left. I was towards the front of the second main group until a shadowmaw panther ate me for lunch.

It was such a blast, as was the raid to org afterwards. I wonder if I’m still on the mailbox…

Participated. Died so many times in stranglethorn, I think my body makes up about twenty percent of those dead gnome buddies of mine. Anyway, for the next event, I suggest the NEKKID HUNTER game! If you want to know the details, let me know! Once again, BRK and Hobbes ruuul!

  23. Himeh on October 5th, 2008 7:30 pm

I was with a pretty large group of gnomes the whole time after Stormwind. It shrunk a lot once we got out of Westfall though, and there weren’t very many left in STV. I was one of the few that didn’t die in my group.
