Gamestop Inc, a totally separate entity from BRK Worldwide Amalgamated, has released the following statement:
“GameStop is the world’s largest video game retailer. With over 4,400 stores located throughout the United States and 15 countries, we are the retail destination for gamers around the world.
“However, the situation at the Waterford Lakes, Orlando, GameStop has become untenable. The threats, the cow-tipping, the “gifts” left behind the Xbox displays, well it’s stopping right f-ing now.
“In order to promote the peace and keep our corporate masters happy, the Waterford Lakes, Orlando, GameStop is hereby committed to having a Midnight Opening for the Wrath of the Lich King.
“The owner and CEO of BigRedKitty Worldwide Amalgamated has been invited to begin the procession at 10:00pm EDT. He may arrive, line up, and not fear his @ss is gonna get a beatdown by mall security.
“Together, we hold a passion for gaming, a commitment to our industry and a disciplined business perspective to continuously drive value with shareholders, customers, vendors and employees.
“So sayeth GameStop, so let it be done. Foshizzle.”
So we’re totally gonna be there! 10:00pm EDT, November 12th, 2008. The Number One Figurehead of BRKWWA is coming to stand in line for his Collector’s Edition of WotLK.
We’re inviting Mania to join us, of course.
There are no promises of door prizes, there will be no band, there will be no fireworks, no parades. We tried to hire the guy who did the Beijing Olympics, but he’s busy. If we can’t get him, we’re not gonna bother with any entertainment. Do it right or don’t do it at all. Proper.
Once again! BRK and Mania’s Midnight WotLK Madness at GameStop in Waterford Lakes, Orlando, is ON!!
It’ll probably be a huge letdown, but whatever; we’re trying.

I never got into midnight release parties..
A bunch of geeks hanging around waiting for a store to open isn’t my idea of a good time (no offense anybody =/)

I preordered mine from Amazon, and paid for the one day shipping.
The next day, I got mail from Amazon saying that it’s eligible for release-date shipping, for half the price of the one day. So while I won’t have it the second it’s available, I won’t spend all night sitting outside in Florida (where I am too) sweating my ass off and being eaten by mosquitos. I can live with that.
There we go. I’ll see you there. I might have to come up with something to bring to entertain the masses.

BRK, hit the Apopka GameStop (Wekiva / OBT) if you ever get a chance. They’re CRAZY mofo’s lol! I was there for an hour (picked up RA3) while they were discussing everything from some Jap imports to why in FFVIII they allowed you to not play certain main characters at all.
