    I’ve had a Serpent for a very long time. I picked Charlotte up from the Sunken Temple when they became tamable with patch 2.0 (I was level 50 at the time), and she’s been with me ever since.

    I’m overjoyed that they buffed Poison Spit! It was always a terrible ability, but now I won’t feel gimped when I

    Oops, posted too early (and the edit button seems to have vanished…). ><

    As I was saying, i won’t feel gimped when I bring Charlotte out from the stable, she’s going to become awesome for Pvp! ^^ Thanks Blizzard for the much needed buff!

    They really like making us beast masters (and other hunters) choose when it comes to pets, don’t they? WTB more stable slots.

  6. Ihlos on October 6th, 2008 12:21 pm

    They sure do shagrat.

    Beautiful cat there, im sure the cat lovers will be pleased =)

    Awesome video! Blizz has really given pets so much more to work with. I’m looking forward to seeing some more variety.

    I am a little worried about Rake, though…makes me sad seeing my beautiful big red lynx get left behind.

    Also, LOVE the dorfs! …*kind of wishes she started one*

    Was the threat meter built in to the WoW UI?

  9. Eyu on October 6th, 2008 2:17 pm

    @stupid mage
    Yes the default ui can even have your threat displayed as part of your targets window.

    The boomkin comment almost made me fall out of my chair …. huahuahuahua.

    I’ve had a crab pet since level 12- picked him right up off the Darkshore coast. In real time, that’s nearly four years now! Needless to say, I’m glad to see that playing with him will be a little less of a personal sacrifice, mechanics-wise, in the expansion. ;)

    @Esyringe

    It is NEVER too late to start a Dorf hunter. Just go do it, you wont be sorry.

    Nice vid, BRK.

  13. Huntardin on October 6th, 2008 4:05 pm

    Hey i heard him say “the crab went from level 69 to 73 and learned all of it’s spells up to date.”

    is that true? or am i just retarded?

  14. Esdoc on October 6th, 2008 4:33 pm

    Just a small note pertaining to cats and their Rake: It is currently by far the best pet special on beta. The numbers quoted in the movie appear to be the base values before AP is factored in, as the dot part alone is reported as ticking for well over 200

  15. Liet on October 6th, 2008 4:38 pm

    Does Rake scale, or do you see ticks of 3 or 4 damage going past?

  16. Liet on October 6th, 2008 4:39 pm

    Darn it, wtb edit button.

    Must test rake! Unfortunately currentkitty is 5 levels lower than me.

  17. Petaphile on October 6th, 2008 4:55 pm

    @Huntardin…yes in WOTLK any pet you tame that is more than 5 levels below you is auto leveled to 5 levels below you. No more leveling Armored Boars from 26-70. Just pick a pet and get it. Also if you stable a pet that is level 65 for example and don’t use it again until level 80 it will exit stable as a level 75, however, if you are level 70 and tame a 69 it will still be 69 once tamed.

  18. Phourc on October 6th, 2008 5:00 pm

    Aww, poor toad. I love it.

  19. Taiani on October 6th, 2008 5:06 pm

    I just tested rake with eyes of the beast only useing rake, It appears rake does no inital damage but the dot does scale with something. This is with my level 75 cat just tamed on a random deer below Dalaran.

    Btw, Moose is my cat, lol.

  20. Taiani on October 6th, 2008 5:07 pm

    …wheres the edit button, rake does do initial damage, I’m just blind and didn’t see it before I looked at the link making sure it worked -_-;

  21. Bryan on October 6th, 2008 6:14 pm

    Yes!! Keep the pet videos coming!!

  22. esyringe on October 6th, 2008 7:06 pm

    @Kunukia:

    Okay then…meet Nolmac the level 1 dwarf! XD

  23. kunukia on October 6th, 2008 11:05 pm

  24. Rob on October 7th, 2008 12:26 am

    Hey where’s the spirit beast vid?

    *ducks*

  25. Pessi on October 7th, 2008 3:30 am

    A bit of info on rake for me on beta at level 73, with a 73 pet

    Rank 5 Rake hits for 331 and ticks 3 times for 128

    This is as deep marks with 3k~ atp. Not too shabby!

  26. Seryth on October 7th, 2008 8:18 am

    Well, Rake is actually THE Reason why Cat´s are outdpsing every other Pet on Beta realms.
    Just dont believe the tooltip BRK.

  27. Berg on October 7th, 2008 1:02 pm

    Thanks. A very cool video podcast.

  28. Nym on October 7th, 2008 7:57 pm

    In the Vid it looks like your shots are coming our the side of your rifle. Is that a trick of the vid or my eyes or a bug?

  29. Dino on October 16th, 2008 5:43 pm

    Blizz has not done that good. Chimaeras still got the problem with their range.
