Thanks again for coming on, and as we say, “classing” up the podcast! It was nice to hear I wasn’t crazy just for using a pet because I liked how it looked (or in sounded in my case).

Best of luck with the BRK Empire :)

What I’ve learned from their website so far is that one of those fat dudes in their parents’ basements that you raid with can actually turn out to be a beautiful girl with a degree in psychology. Sry gotta go log on now kthxbai.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition

And her name is an alliteration. Life’s not fair.

BRK you so popular… when do we get to make other commercials?? HUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUH?!?!?

  8. Zandilar on October 9th, 2008 8:46 pm

    Ah, BRK…

Ultima Online was launched in 1997.
    EverQuest was launched in 1999.
World of Warcraft was launched in 2004.

So I doubt you were running Upper and Lower BRS in 1996.

(Sorry, just had to point that out.)

Oh, and I have to add… despite that lil slip, you’re always entertaining to listen to. :)

Yeah I have done that in the past where I helped 6 hunters to get there pets. My main is a mage, so they were surprised I knew what to do. Obviously they were not aware of alts, but it was fun never the less.

About the WoWoutsider podcast, its actually too painful to listen to.
Nearly ever second I want to chime in and say: “No no, its because of this. You have to do this. You can also do the following. Actually the reason is….” You get the idea.

Playing WoW for 2 years, I will definitely not subscribe, as its just to painful to listen too, and its more for the noob i guess.

That said, good luck with warcraftoutsiders.com! I appreciate there are more people making podcasts, especially WoW podcasts.

As always loved BRK’s section, always enjoy what Daniel has to say, and now that I made my hunter my main, I still learn a lot even after knowing the hunters class for 2 years.

2006. Apologies for the wrong century.

I heard 2006, but that could have been a trick of the mind.

Anyway, thanks for answering my question about playing arena with a warrior friend. I thought it was a bad question but I was curious to hear what you would say. Looking back, I think there were two questions there. 1) Is there any good pet for Arena? 2) Should I train a new pet that would be more effective for a BM hunter for leveling between 60-80? I am attached to my bird, but he interferes with the interface and I feel like he has a lot to learn.

Thanks again for being a great resource.

I must agree that most of the podcast was very difficult to listen to. I’ve only been playing since March, but dang, noobs much? That said, I thoroughly enjoyed your contribution. I always love hearing you talk about hunter/pet synergy and it’s interesting to hear about how you got started on WoW and with the blog. :)

P.S. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Your contributions to their podcast was excellent as always and rife with the rich personality that robustly flavors all things BRK.

Their parts on the other hand — not so much. It seems like they spoke most of the time just to hear themselves say something. It felt most painful when BRK would give an insightful, well spoken comment or observation (and corrections). Half the time it was “Yeah and on my character…” And man, did they walk all over each other.

Awesome job on your part though BRK. Informative and entertaining as always.

    ROTFLMAO!!

“I tried playing a Druid, I tried really hard. Then I tired puting a Mend Pet on myself.”

    I demand BRK bumper stickers!!!

If you’re a capped level 80 hunter and you’re no longer getting experience, do you’re below 80 pets still receive experience?

  17. Indi on October 10th, 2008 12:46 pm

@ rick: yes, as long as you are killing things that are a “green” or “yellow” or even “red” (if there would be) mobs. That is, if it WOULD give YOU xp, then your pet will get it. If the mob is “grey,” then your pet won’t get xp.

@ brk – I totally agree with the connection with my pet! I was worried about the possibility of abandoning my cat before the stable slots were increased to 5.

Good to hear you on Warcraft Outsiders brk. I have been a big fan of the Video Game Outsiders podcast for 4 years, and looked forward to their new endeavor simply about warcraft. Because of them, I decided to check out your podcast even though I don’t have a hunter, and I find it rather informative.

For those of you who are new to the Outsiders, I think you are missing the point on what type of show they do.

Michelle is a somewhat hardcord casual player with 3 70s, Kyle is very casual, and John is a mess. These have always been people who admit to having real lives, families, jobs, and the like who all play the game very differently.

It’s the role of both Kyle and John to ask “”newb”" questions so that the people out there listening who aren’t as godly in the game as some of you claim to be will have something to grasp on to as well.

I just love these three and wish them just as much success with WCO as they have had with VGO!

Your right Spiritof76. I didn’t get the concept at first but do now. The noob factor helps others and that is a good thing. Heck, I remember my first time playing WoW. Lol. Totally lost as a FPS only player. That was a steep learning curve. By the way, good piece BRK.
