I’ve got one question, what happens with the daze effect on baby mamoth.
(and we need some hobbes love too!)
ZOMG mounted party buffs would be nothing short of totally awesome.
I’m finally at Dalaran, but unlike BRK, I have nowhere near the funds needed for one of those mammoth mounts.
If you can not afford it: The price does drop down as your rep goes up.
The cost for me is at 18,999. “friendly” -I’d buy it but it would leave me with 2k for other items.
The problem is that the Mat prices are outrageous, and the created items are way to low to sell for a profit.
So want to make money, farm old school junk and sell it in the AH for those trying to level their DK’s. And or Fish. So you can easily make 50g a stack from the good fish.
Soooo……
Is there anything the baby Mammoth can’t do?
I heard it can also slice, dice –and– julienne fries.

I’m starting to wonder if the Mammoth mount is supposed to be that awesome after all. First I thought it was a bug, but maybe it’s just part of the really expensive gold price tag. Maybe after paying 20k gold, you get the most awesome and fuctional mount ever.

Leaves me to wonder if you could get up to 148% with Pathfinding 2/2, since its a 10% increase in mount speed and a 8% increase in Aspect of the Cheetah/Pack, anyone know?

I was wondering can the reg baby mammoth (the one that doesnt have vendors) get buffs like aspect of the pact also?

Rofl. I’m so glad you love your Mammoth BRK. But really, the 2 of u are reminding me of that high school couple that everyone can’t stand after 2 weeks of nothing but PDA and “tickle fights”. Bleh, nostalgia doesn’t sit well with me.
Of course, 24 seconds compared to 31 seconds is a 30% over the 100% mount (200% normal speed) which means that mammoth is going at 260% normal speed. In essence, Pack makes it a 160% mount, not a 130% mount.
Besides, bigger numbers sound better.

So then would Crusader Aura and other Mount things still function?

Water Walking works while mounted now…
so its clear, the same works with Motorcycles, they’re also vehicles. If you could edit the post to say this, it’d help people with motorcycles. thanks BRK!
This used to be the case back when I started playing with regular mounts (Pack Aspect would not disappear when you mounted) and they nerfed it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they nerfed this as well. Fun to watch though

Oooohhh so close to getting my baby mammoth! only 4k left! :] Can’t wait to do this! Now its totally worth it! More speed and less breaks from farming/questing!

it’s a nice 77 F here in Sun Diego so yah I’m sorry for the cold front on the East Coast.
The daze does affect mammoth, BUT, since pretty much any mob that aggros will aggro to you before they try to attack mammoth, you will take the daze (if they can somehow hit you before you are out of range). Since you are dazed and mammoth is not, mammoth will still carry you along at high speeds UNLESS the hit is hard enough to dismount you. This of course is not valid if the mob that attacks you has some sort of aoe attack.
Picture, if you will, a 20-man raid group, riding 7 baby mammoths, all cruising along at high speed across the tundra. Convoy!

OMG…I just reached 20k (with rep I only need to pay 18.9k) and I wanted to grind a couple more thousand gold before buying the mammoth (don’t fancy being too poor)…
…BUT…after watching this movie/post, I bought myself a baby mammoth!! Much thanks to you, you’ve convinced me to get a baby mammoth right away and i’m on FP to see if I could pick up the Spirit Beast as well *fingers crossed*!!! XD
