    TIme pet spells…

    *clicks claw*

@Plio It is a hunter’s job, unless he is tanking, to provide MQoSDPS. A Gorilla(or any tenacity pet), would not be a wise choice for this goal.

    7) Heroic Presence

    Explains EVERYTHING!

  6. fearstalker on November 29th, 2008 1:16 pm

@ Rilgon, lol – no need to chase that one more. I’m glad I have that bonus myself.

Regarding the gorrilla, I think many of us might be stabling them once we hit 80 and start dedicated our time to heroics and raids. From the instances I’ve run sofar, the gorilla is gimped if your tank isn’t producing enough threat so that you can use TS.

My gorilla will likely be stabled and just pulled out for farming once 80 is hit. He just isn’t that usefull for heroics. A solo-target tenacity pet or a ferocity pet would be a better choice (unless you are pet-tanking, of course).

@Plio – The gorilla was an awesome leveling pet. Just not so great after that. That’s hopefully why Blizz hasn’t nerfed TS.

    Heroic Presence Explains EVERYTHING!

We don’t always have that buff, just once or twice.

Pet does 53% of my total dps of 3791 = 2009dps

    Oh yeah !!

  10. Dave on November 29th, 2008 1:58 pm

See, Heroic Presence is why it is awesome to be a Draenei hunter.

  11. Yari on November 29th, 2008 2:02 pm

Slinging your gun around like the Terminator is another good reason

  12. Azrelix on November 29th, 2008 2:09 pm

A Scorpid (tenacity pet) can be an awesome DPS pet for raids if used correctly.

  13. Spike on November 29th, 2008 3:29 pm

I love cats and spirit beasts couse the do an insane dps if you know how to buff an talent your pet

  14. Phiil on November 29th, 2008 7:15 pm

Well, I can get my pet all those buffs pretty easily, but I’m still camping for my spirit beast. 12 days of 95% of my free time spent in the basin, only stopping for work and a pathetic amount of sleep. All this effort has yielded me 2 King Krush tames ninja’d by cockroaches (pallys) and 1 Loque’nahak sighting as I zoomed in on my turbo-charged flying machine to see a guildie (who was supposed to be helping me spot him) deliver the killing blow.

P.S. Where’s the pet food buff? 30 stam and 30 strength go a long way.

Bears with Swipe do surprisingly good trash DPS, and I often bring my Gorilla to Heroics to tank random trash and for its nice little AoE.

  16. Conflict of CC on November 30th, 2008 3:23 am

I like to bring my gorilla in for dungeons fairly often. If I don’t have the time to run to a stable master, I’ll ask the tank if its fine, usually they don’t mind. And so far every dungeon I’ve been in is a Volley those, Volley these! So the AoE from TS pays off

    Where is the pally buff?

You have kings (.:. a paladin) but no buff from him. Slack imo. I know might wouldn’t help (due to battle shout) but how about Kings (if specced) or Sanc? -.-

LOL BRK like your Spirit Beast’s name. How many poor hunters have swooped down from the sky in front of you dropped a freeze trap and wondered why they can’t tame your pet ?

Might even do this myself for the fun :)

  19. Cimaron on December 1st, 2008 2:37 pm

Scorpids are also nice, i’ve seen mine hit as high as 1300dps beating everyone including me in that fight i did like 1200, and on most bosses it’s usually between 700 and 1100.

  20. pointnshoot on December 2nd, 2008 6:23 am

I like the Gorilla (JoJo) having a pally tank as the guilds main tank helps my dps like crazy…have made a few ppl scream “hunters OP” more than once I am not breaking numbers like you BRK but we are getting there soon enough…Just a matter of gear at this point :) But I do see us getting a cat (still trying to tame every druid I see*) )

  21. Eldorn on December 3rd, 2008 10:35 am

Woops the Spirit beast’s Spirit Strike breaks the freeze trap.

  22. Leejin on December 12th, 2008 3:15 pm

How in the heck is this happening? I have around 3500 RAP, and my hit rating is at 190. My pet has never, EVER broke 700 DPS. I has teh lazer kitteh, but his DPS is no where near what people are posting. I have similar talents and what not. HOW are pets breaking 1k DPS? I”m a troll, so no Heroic Presence for me…EVER! I’m smart with cooldowns and stuff too. WTF?

    Someone pls halp!
